Angel Cordaro was a great jockey. He cheated like no other and used electric sticks to get the horse to run faster. He also would purposely ride other jockeys out into the middle or the outside of the track to allow his barn mate to go inside and win the race. But, he was a very good jockey.

My horses each get a sweet potatoes every morning with their feed. Lots of antioxidants...

Wow, my favorite jockey of all time. Went to Santa Anita and Hollywood park several times to watch Chris ride live. After the alysheba win in the derby , I loved the interviews Chris gave afterwards. IF THE WORD CLASS, HAD A PICTURE, CHRIS MCCARRON WILL BE IT. . GREAT INTERVIEW MY FRIEND.

Back when racing was great. Try to talk to DW Lukas about Criminal Type who somehow beat Easy Goer & Sunday Silence in handicaps. Greatest East vs West showdown since Affirmed & Alydar. There will never be another horse like Easy Goer who won the Champagne, Gotham(nearly equaled Dr. Fager's WR),Wood Memorial, Belmont, Whitney, Travers, Wood, JCGC. The epitome of Phipp's breeding. Pat Day rode five straight winners that day in Louisville losing only the Ky Derby. I was 19yo, so glad that I got to see Easy Goer & Sunday Silence. I saw Sunday Silence's final Derby work 46 2/5 I think, simply amazing. Shug is a winner and he was always a gracious win or lose. Classy guy.

I love this! Grooms are definitely the backbone of racing. I would gladly trade all my days in the saddle for all my days on the ground with horses.

I typed a long RESPECT respons about all of the important people behind the scenes, but I lost it because of the severe storms tonight. Just let me say, it is YOU GUYS THAT MAKE THIS SPORT HAPPEN! I will bet money those young horses love the grooms, hot walkers, breeders, etc. more than anyone else they will ever encounter in their lives. Total Respect for you all.

I am so proud of this horse, the owners and caretakers. They had so much faith in this beautiful underdog. And boy is that horse ever a “Rich Strike.”
