Thanks

QVC, how is it going?
Magnificent work friend....can you tell me what color you used for the blue of the jackets? thank you
I built this kit a long time ago. I forgot. Sorry.
Impressive build Q. I was shocked when you showed the box & then the actual model was only the size of a Matchbox car! Even with the boat being so small you were able to get great details to show up. Cheers mate.
Thank you for your kind words. If you like ships, my next kit is going to be Revell HMS Kelly. It a very tiny kit at 1/700 scale. I should have it uploaded by next week with luck.
Great cinematography and presentation; the smooth segues, mellow voice and excellent camera work make your video a pleasure to watch and listen to.
Thank you for watching my video. I have another video coming up soon if you like that. Since it's the 80th anniversary of the D-Day, I'm going to build HMS Kelvin. It's a British destroyer that participated in Operation Neptune. Take care. And again, thank you for watching my video.
That turned out great. The folks at MiniArt really stepped up their efforts to the upper echelon of quality and details. Unbelievably realistic photo etch wheel spokes and front fork enhancements. They also look like the used the Verlinden sign set decals as well, they look awesome. You’ve inspired me to build one of my Italeiri 1/9 scale motorcycle kits. Stay safe Q, I-5 can be treacherous for motorcycle riding.
Thank you for kind words. And thank you for watching my video.
Great work again Q. I think that the clock ticking in the background is like a tranquil mood setter. Like a metronome of inspiring calm before taking on a difficult model kit. I wanted to know what issues you found with this tank. It appears like there was some pinkish putty used around the hull. Was there a fitting problem or lack of texture? Also the crisp little figure had some of it as well. It really turned out nice. Loved to see the Coliseum in the video. It’s astonishing that they constructed that almost 2,000 years ago! Take care my friend & keep ‘em coming
I found this tank has little issues altogether. Although Tamiya has combined several older kits, I think they done this well to make it affordable to the consumer. Of course, Tamiya can manufacture a new kit with the latest technology, but the cost would be out of reach for some consumers. I just want to thank you for watching my video. I honestly appreciate it. Take care.
Qdc we like your video because they make ovee days more positiv!!
You are welcome. And thank you for watching my videos. I honestly appreciate it.
@@qdc748a no problem!make more videos!
As always.very good model and result!keep going to make model kit and make over days positive!
Thank you.
That shadow box was a fitting tribute to an Allied hero, Q. The fact that this man was honored with a medal from the Battle of Monte Casino is a true testament to his courage, dedication and commitment to the cause in such an important moment in World War II history. Remember, as a Chaplin he was in the heat of Hell on Earth action and would have been UNARMED, remarkable! I’m actually glad that the box found its way into your possession. You’re the right guy to be the caretaker of his fascinating personal mementos and important story and you showed the respect he deserves. Well done son.
Thank you for your kind words. I just done the right thing. I think many people would do the same thing if they were in my shoes. Maybe one day these will go back to his great grandchildren. Thank you again.
That Dragon M-16 really looks awesome. I can’t believe how cramped that poor gunner is in that AA seat! I’m 6-3 & would get cloister phobic as heck all squeezed in like that. It was cool to see it in action at the Fairfield, Ca.base. I live in Seattle but I grew up in Danville, Ca about 35 miles away from there(‘75-‘80) I really like that Verlinden accessory set, they always pack them full so that you can have extras for other kits. The huge front winch really turned out great Q, that AV Vallejo rust streaks set is fantastic, a decade in the making but well worth the wait.
Thank you for your kind words. This is a good kit and it's too bad they don't make it anymore. The accessories from Verlinden Productions adds a lot of interests to this project, I agree. I know Danville, CA well. I honestly want to thank you for watching this video. Take care.
Just watched Battle of the Big Horn brought me back here.
Well done !…love the cat looking on 👀….I’ve got one who does the same 🤷♂️…as soon as I start painting etc…he sits on my lap !…… that’s a great figure at a good price
Great Job Q. The tank turned out sweet. I’ve been subscribed to your channel for about 10 years or so. One of my favorite kits/dioramas you ever built was the D-Day landing with the Higgins boat and all of the soldiers storming Omaha beach. I thought that the beach & textured waves and the shell explosions were fantastic! Definitely expertly executed my friend. There is something very calming and mentally soothing about your building approach. You have a sort of Bob Ross calming effect as the kit comes together & I always get the itch to build something out of my large stash of kits after watching one of your videos. Keep ‘em coming Q, I always enjoy picking up a helpful technique or two as well Cheers mate.
Thank you for your kind words. It's flattering to know that I have viewers like you who been watching my videos for all these years.
Hi, great job on your work. Where and how do you display all of your models? Maybe do a video of your display cases QDC?
Thank you for watching and thanks for your kind words. I have two book selves that I use to display my models. I might.
I can't believe the first time I watched one of your videos was around a decade ago in grade school. I'm now in the army and so glad that I'm still able to stop in occasionally and see a new video from you. You're a real positive guy and I'm glad you do what you do!
Wow! I don't know what to say but to say thank you. Most of my viewers who write comments are long time subscribers. It makes me happy to know that people like yourself look forward in seeing my videos. Thank you again.
You didn´t show the most difficult thing about the model. Putting the wheel together.
Sorry
That is definitely in your top 5 best models that I've seen you do. Paintwork is spot on, I like the subtle weathering and the addition of the self made sand bags makes it unique. An inspirational build for sure. Most excellent... I hope to get my kit done this summer, it looks like a fun project and being Tamiya, it shouldn't be too complicated. Great video too and as always great choice of music! What's not to like.. ;)
Thank you for your kind words. This was a fun kit to build.
Really nice kit and paint job especially the added sandbags as this adds more realism to the overall look . Thank you for sharing this with us stay safe and well .
Thank you for watching my video and thank you for your kind words.
Always nice to watch your builds. Thanks for this one. I'd say it's a very solid effort! Your airbrush has a bit blotchy spray pattern. Maybe you try to spray with slightly a bit more pressure?
Thanks for watching my video. I'll increase my air pressure to see if there's any improvements. Thanks for the advice.
I bought the same plastic model! Im still making it but sadly the cockpit was ruined by cement spill, so im making it without cockpit but it still a nice job!! :D
You did a fine job on that model. I have built that model as well some years back. I do love how it goes together. I do like your presentation on what you do in your videos. You don't try to show off and you do things simply and show that you don't have to be a pro modeler to get into the hobby. Don't ever stop building.
Thank you very much for your kind words. As I get older and older, I understand that some people who shows off, advertise, or embellish themselves are insecure individuals. These individual's ego are so fragile that they must present themselves as superior. I don't show off because I don't have a need or a desire to do so. Don't get me wrong. My fellow model kit builders are very, very talented and I admire their work. Take care and thank you for watching my video. I honestly appreciate it.
Cool tank
Thank you.
another great model, you are the best, your videos are very inspiring, great skills
Thank you for your kind words.
Tamiya kits are just great
I like Tamiya a lot. Their kits are designed to be a joy building . It's not overly complicated and they have just the right amount of details that would satisfy most model kit builders of all skill levels. Thank you for watching my video. I honestly appreciate it.
Great work, appreciate you sharing the tips and tricks

Nice details once again, lovely model and nice build!
Thank you for your kind words. I honestly appreciate them. And thank you for watching my video.
Nicely done.....I still haven't tried that adding on of mud and debris about the wheels and side walls,,,,I served in the 2nd Armor 40 years back and don't remember the mud etc build up.....always thought the vibrations and thudding of the track (M113) knocked all that off......bath time was normally fairly easy...didn't know you are a colonel in a admin office...lol Carry on!!
Thanks for watching my video and thanks for your kind words. I done some research using historic photos to place mud on the my model. But you have 40 years of direct experience serving in the military. Wow. If you're an American, I want to thank you for your 40 years of service protecting the USA! I am just a casual history buff but your direct experience with tanks are certainly an asset in building these models. I'm not sure, you can probably educate me on this, but I understand that post World War Two American armor vehicles are better designed to shake off mud with use. When I think about it, I don't remember seeing any photographs of post World War Two vehicles with a lot mud in the running gears. Thanks for commenting on my old shirt. I got it at the military museum when they were having a yard sale. Take care and I wish you the best.
@@qdc748a You are doing fine with research. My time with the 2nd Armor was only 6 months and left the Army after that. (1978) We were in central Texas, so 'real' mud mixed with dessert sand, dried quick and became a dust coating. Check out 'Nam pics, occasionally the tracks and armor would have quite a bit of a red dirt coverage. I spent my first 5 yrs in the 82nd and 509th Airborne, so going to an armored division was a bit unreal. When in the airborne these vehicles were prime targets, so I always felt I had a target on my back riding in these vehicles.

Yes there are some very talented model makers out there the guy plasmo is second to none but I love the way you set out your builds and give a little history on what ever you are modelling I have about 4 or 5 guys that I like to follow yourself and Robs basic modelling are among my favourite channels so keep up the great builds as a small boy in the 1960s I would spend my pocket money on airfix kits now as a older boy after watching your channel I have rediscovered our great hobby 😀 👍

Fantastìc kit. I built it couple of months ago.
I agree with you! This is a fantastic kit. Although it was first manufactured in 1977, this kit has good details and it was very fun to build and paint. Thanks for watching.
nice build the sandbags are a great touch I always like adding stowage etc as it give the model more interest
Thanks. Extra storage is a great way to add interests to your model kit project and it's also adds more fun too. I want to thank you for watching this video. CZcams has a lot of talented model kit builders that are superior to my projects so I honestly appreciate you taking your time by watching my video. Take care.
Hallo QDC... I like your Videos.... I watch it for many years! Why you're changing your painting Method...? No more Shadows and Highlights...!? Greatings from Vienna...
Thank you for watching my videos over the years. The older I get, the more subtle my painting techniques grows. The shadows and highlights are there but it's been painted in a more subtle way. The place you can see more direct shadows and highlights are the suspension system. It's just a style and frankly, any painting method is fine so long as you enjoy painting you model kits. Vienna is a place I want to visit. This year, I went to Berlin but maybe my next trip should be to Vienna. Thank you again for watching my video and take care.

Nice job. Figures nicely painted and sandbags look good, Like the hair as well. Almost as long as mine. Guess it has to do with getting older and still riding motorcycles. Keep modelling and riding.
Thank you for your kind words. This classic kit from Tamiya is good. Even though the scale is closer to 1/32, I still enjoyed both building it and painting it. Yes, my hair is long! It's down to my chest now. I never rode a motorcycle with my hair down. I don't know what will happen if I did. Anyway, yes I guess as men motorcyclists gets older, we tend to grow our hair out and still ride. Most my motorcycle friends my age have long hair. Thank you again, and take care.
