This is more like how NOT to build a poker table. So many errors, in practice, this table will be a nightmare to play on. And the looks 1/10 imo.

Do the kind of wood make a difference

Swipe some kerosene across the glass before you make your cut. It helps

Love the design, but I'm sure by now you know it's not really a humidor since you cannot maintain the humidity properly. I'd love to see you take a second shot at building this but properly sealing the glass and doors. Silicone in the grooves, and a lip of Spanish cedar around the door to properly seal it and you've really got something very nice. 👍

I did it myself. I used Woodglut woodworking plans for this.

Woodglut has very good and accurate plans.

I find it a lot faster and easier to cut the glass on the table saw. The other wheely thing. Needs to be going extra fast though.
