This is one of those tunes that can be played/interpreted several different ways and it still be good. There is an interesting interview with the composer who wrote this tune, Earle Hagen on youtube (I think it's still on youtube).

Superb performance by the great Ray Anthony (Born: Raymond Antonini) playing his signature theme song, the pensive and melancholy "The Man With The Horn". I safely venture to say, at the present age of 96, he is probably the only living member of Glenn Miller's original orchestra, where he played lead trumpet. Last of a rare breed from the Big Band Era.

Sie ist wirklich unglaublich, als Musikerin u. Erscheinung. Und die dort versammelt sind: Weltklasse. Diese Aufnahme zeigt, wie es klingen kann, wenn wahre Könner zusammenkommen. Großartig!

Klingt vor allem gut, auch durch Thilo Wolf. War damals in diesem Konzert in Fürth ( und in den weitern vielen). Das mit dem Mist kann ich, als Sohn eines Bassposaunisten, der in diesen damaligen Orchestern spielte, SO NICHT gelten lassen. Es sind Tanztorchester (Strassser -Greger u.s.w.) die unter Wert spielten. Sporadisch am Abend dreimal loslegen durften. Mit Musik für Musiker wären WIR als Familie verhungert. Rundfunkorchester _mit BISS_ (R.H. Müller SWF), wurden SOMIT kaum angagiert

This is I caught a touch of your love and man are they taking it up a notch. I like it at a slower tempo. The feel at this tempo is too fast and a little rushed.
