@@verybadslayerwt515 yea, Thrustmaster Warhog + Rudder Pedals + Track IR 5. It's the same setup I use for my DCS videos. Old videos from like 3-5 years ago I was using PS4 controller and could achieve similar performance.

I don't think the F-4E sucks. But a lot of the people using it are throwing the F4 into disadvantageous positions and easily getting killed. It's not great for dogfighting but it can be a pretty good standoff aircraft.

It does just fine, It has the upper hand in anything other than a dogfight. people just dont know how to play it

Personally, I would recommend the MiG-21Bis more because it has the R-60Ms and you'll be able to score a few more kills quicker. With the MiG-19 you'll have to engage in dogfights most of the time which can be a problem because you'll just end up getting 3rd partied unless you have a team to fly with you. I do enjoy the MiG-19 because it's nimble and fast, but right now you'll likely be up against 20+ Phantoms who are all in chat together.

MiG-19 is from Razbam. Considering their willingness to hold their modules hostage vs the community without explaining anything that's going on, I'd go for the 21.

Yes, altho despite the lag at the merge, this F4 will not beat a MiG-19 in a turn. Given the player commited, he would have lost anyway. Unless of course I get 3rd partied.

@@TalonInvictus oh for sure. Mig-19 is a beast in a turn fight. F4 really isn't a turn fighter. Just a missile bus.

@@Psiikix unfortunately most of the people using it behave almost like zombies. They just come at you no matter what. If they get to launch missiles or not. They go for the dogfights and I can't understand why. Then they get angry and say the model is bad hahah

@@TalonInvictus yeah, the model is great. It's the multithreading cache for the radar that needs that patch to roll out immediately because jesus dude..... 2 frames with the radar on vs 15 with it off? Or 40-60+ with other aircraft models.....its ridiculous

Yea I realized I would provide some form of context for them. I know some do know about DCS but there are plenty who've never ever heard of it.

Most of the multiplayer servers I go into are like 6 red and 30 something F4 blue players lol. It's crazy. Luckily most of them don't know what they are doing and try to dogfight everything with it. I give it about 1 months before the teams start to balance out again

@@gnr2871As one of the MiG 19 pilots in this video, I’ll say the MiG 19 weaknesses come from its tech and not it’s performance. Lack of all aspect RWR, horrible missiles, low ammo count for cannons and no flares. That’s really all I could think about, she still performs exceptionally well in the merge and will outrate pretty much any Blu-For jet except the Sabre

@@cleverlaziness It seems it’s best for me not to get in a dogfight with them. I have no issues taking down Mig 21s and 23s, but the 19 just out turns the hell out of me and if they get on my six I struggle to shake them. That being said I also have a tendency to not manage my speed too well in the phantom. All and all I just need more time in the aircraft getting to know it. It has given me a lot of respect for the 19 though.

With regards to the specific model of the Javelin, I am not sure. I assume that Gaijin did their research when implementing the aircraft. At least, I hope they did. Based on the design of the engine exhaust and intake I would say yes, but dont quote me on that.

Hello This aircraft was equipped with Armstrong Siddeley Sapphire engines ASSa.7 with afterburner, without allowing the Javelin to be supersonic. Here is what we can read on Wikipedia regarding this version of the engine: "An afterburner with limited boost was required for the Javelin's ASSa.7, making it the ASSa.7LR. 12% boost was required at high altitudes to regain the bomber intercept performance that had been lost carrying the new de Havilland Firestreak missiles.[9] Afterburners with a low boost requirement were sometimes known as "wee-heat".[9] Other low-boost reheats have included the "tailpipe augmentation"(TPA) on the F-86H (J73) with +10% at take-off[11] and "Bristol Simplified Reheat"(BSR), with about 16% boost at take-off, tested on Derwent V, Orenda, Olympus[12] and Orpheus engines.[13]"
