      Thank you. After you blend the mint leave into juice, you can dry the remaining of the leaves under the hot sun for one day, and use it as mint powder to blend together with oils in order to generate beautiful green color.

    • @SoapStudios

      Normally I use dye chips, dye block and different color of tealight candles. If you do not have dye chips and dye block, you can melt some of the purple tea light candle to mix with the soywax that you melted, it will generate beautiful light color, add darker color candle to get darker color 😀

    This is absolutely gorgeous! Been wanting to make one for a while now, can I know if you used pure soywax or a fortified one? Because I heard soywax is quite soft, and can I replace fragrance with essential oil instead? Thx for your help 💕

    • @SoapStudios
      @SoapStudios Před 3 lety

      Thanks for the comment. I am using PB Pillar Soywax. Since pillar wax doesn't go into a container, it will need to stand on its own in the hot sun and while burning. Ideally, the wax will need to have a melting point of at least 57'C or higher. The harder soy wax is suitable for pillar candles because it is easy to demould; the softer soy wax is suitable for container candles. Usually, you can find soy candles in glass in the market. Both are softer soy waxes. You can replace fragrance oil with essential oil. The sense of natural essential oil will fade away when temperature > 85'C. We require to add the essential oil when temperature drop to around 80'C.

    • @lxlee239
      @lxlee239 Před 3 lety

      @@SoapStudios thx for the advice!💛 I'll prob go with a 50:50 ratio of soy and beeswax based on an online recommendation, and use candle fragrance oil. When should I add in the fragrance 😆? Can I use food colouring to make the tree green? 😂

      Great suggestion! The formula is as written in description: In this case Peppermint Ice Cube is 2X amount of NaOH. Therefore Blended Peppermint Ice Cube is 142.6g. The amount of Peppermint Leave are random, just to generate the natural green color of the soap, you can add in some R.O water to the leave before blending, anyway in this case I use pure Peppermint Leave juice to generate the beautiful green color. Ingredients: ============================================================= Avocado Oil 85.7g Sweet Almond Oil 100g Coconut Oil 143g Palm Oil 143g Jojoba Oil 28.5g Blended Peppermint Ice Cube 142.6g NaOH 71.3g Peppermint and Lavender Essential Oil : 2g
