Can someone please tell me why our cities don't look this awesome? We're supposedly richer/better off/whatever than these guys were, and their cities were breathtaking, and ours are...meh. I'm talking about the US, but even European cities, which are pretty damn cool, don't quite get to this level
Si je pouvais voyager dans le temps alors j'irai voir la ville de Babylone

So beautiful city ❤ merci du Québec 😊
Wow, amazing that you did one about the Ottoman time!
It's so beautiful :D
Babylon the city is coming back in a big way, per prophecy in the Bible. czcams.com/video/bR3grU4yElI/video.html
Babylon, the proud city of itself, ruled Iran, Syria, the Arabian Peninsula, and the Nile. Until now, that hidden era of human history in Babylon has not been revealed, and cover-up and mystery surround the place and prevent talking about that ancient era in the history of Babylon the Great so that the bitter truth is not revealed, which is (history begins with Babylon). )
Astonishing work! Not a lot of these 3D renditions truly capture the scale of old cities, focussing on landmarks and calling it a day, but this is something else man.
The biggest city during the ancient time, according to herodotus,it the took the population 3 days to realized the city has fallen to the persian.
From u.k Fantastic simulation! but have they got evidence of an actual waterfall In the real structure? if there was can someone enlighten me how they got the water up to the roof garden.
No evidence, in fact the gardens were somewhere else.
Can I use your video for my Content

@@Byzantium1200 ok brother
THANKS
Let's built another city exactly like this
How did they manage the waterfalls?
Make the great palace of Constantinople as it was... With mosaics and throne rooms.
I already did.
@@Byzantium1200then make a video... Of Emperor seating in the throne room and troops parading in front of Dafne and 19 Akoubita.
In most reconstructions of Constantinople during the Byzantine period, including byzantium 1200 project, the acropolis, modern day Topkapi Palace was sparsely constructed and covered with greenery. What might the acropolis actually have looked like during the Byzantine period? If it is indeed sparsely populated, why? Another thing that puzzles me is why there is so little left of the byzantine forum and public buildings, while there are still many remains of the forum in Rome, built earlier and also subjected to wars and erosion.
Neden olması gereken yerde değil
I am in amaze 😍 Thank you for your work ☺️
Stunning.
am tryna build constantinople on roblox so this helps thx
I have always wondered what Constantinople looked like after the 4th Crusade, could you please show us what it looked like after the 4th Crusade?
I wonder to what extent the Ottomans changed the road layout of Byzantine Constantinople. I found that in the restored maps of Byzantine Constantinople, including byzantine 1200 project, the roads were regular rectangles, just like other classical Roman cities, while in late Ottoman era and today's Istanbul were dominated by irregular road networks. Could it be that the streets in byzantine 1200 project is only an ideal pattern of Constantinople's city designer, and streets of Constantinople in the middle and late Byzantine periods had gradually become irregular in shape, and that the Ottomans simply inherited the late Byzantine pattern to a large extent?
What you say is probably true, Byzantium1200 roads are mostly based on Albrecht Berger's street plans.
@@Byzantium1200 Thank you for your reply! I was upset to discover that Byzantine Constantinople had even fewer ancient buildings preserved than Rome. So little remains that we may never know many of the details about this great city.
My great city, Babylon, may God keep you as my homeland
Amazing, wonderful animation congratulations
เมืองเก่า บายี่
the rooftops would have been cluttered with cloth shades, straw beds and other stuff as they were basically used as bedrooms, it was far cooler up there during the night than inside the house which would have been heated up during the day. The stone would still radiate heat so it wasn't too cold.
It would be amazing to one day be able to navigate this model on street level, like an educational videogame
Это я, Саня из 5 класса. Нашла это видео, отсканировала там qr код
man.....we seriously should build cities like this again.
oh my god I was doing my coding homework and then this
Кто их история 5 класс?
Gorgeous!
Incredibly beautiful. Very happy to see you post again and thanks so much for taking the time 🙂
İf Latin's were hadnt destroy the constantinopole turks were absolutelyl would protect them to our time..
The Turks destroyed everything. The walls, the churches, the hippodrome.
does this mean you have completed the 1200 model?
That is not possible, needs updates all the time.
@@Byzantium1200oh well. good luck
When the New Mosque (Yeni Camii) built, there was a wooden brigde built on old ships across Galata and Old City.
This was created in a short time for a show and is not a historically accurate model.
Yeah, I appretiate it but you know Galata Bride is another symbol of Istanbul and nowadays we Turks using the fifth version of the bridge. @@Byzantium1200
@@Byzantium1200But normally the channel tries a very historical accurate modeling of the city, right?
@@arcanios806as much as possible, it can never be %100 accurate without a time machine.
@@Byzantium1200 Yes, but your work is amazing already. What do you think about reconstructions of the city in games like Attila?
Ue5?
No.
18.th century
There are newer buildings.
Hippodrome should be restored to original.
No chance, only the Sphendone walls or the cistern. Just see the huge school building right on the top of the Sphendone...Last year a new construction of a ilegal building perhaps, was linked right to the walls, closing the entire street...I made a video on my channel with pictures from the last year's visit, where you can see what I mean (and appreciate if you like it 🫣)...I love everything about this ancient Hippodrome...Cheers!

Wonderful!👍
Harika
I live in Esenler, Istanbul. We have a water cellar here. The waters coming from the west of Istanbul used to branch from here. I have always wondered if we can go underground into the Istanbul city walls using these waterways.
Imagine how cool it would be if the goverment would dig up the old creek (little river) that run from the walls to yeni kapi (the old harbour). It would bring refreshment during hot summers, some green and space between a growing city. 😍who knows one day
@@baswiltink9522 My friend, this is impossible because the only road of the city with a population of 15 million is on that old river bed.
@DEIOCES44 hmh I see, well its possible to divert is trough a pipe, and let it spring to the surface elsewhere , but so expensive i guess hahs
Thank you for your magnificent achievement
Thanks for your work. Can you give any information about the year/period?
Can I use your video for my background video

How to use your clips with no copyright?
Not possible
May I please use this video for my episode on ancient Babylon? Id love to use your footage to give my viewers a sense of what the city looked like
