Yes, Joshua McCrae does a great job narrating, but also, Ashley Capes does an exemplary style of seamlessly flowing, fantastical writing. A well constructed story the only distraction is the mispronunciation‘s but I’m sure the reader will get better with practice so please keep up the good work

I grew up reading Spiderman hoping to see Venom and the Punisher. I read The X-men in order to see Magneto and I liked Drizzt in D&D but was a fan of Artemis and Jarlaxle. Now I add the Blackthorn to the list of my favorite antiheroes. Thanks Rob J. Hayes.

What's up with "elders" acting like children and decidedly ignoring common sense and any form of due process?? First book was interesting, this one I'm finding painful. Besides that lack of common sense I would have liked to have seen them practicing with the magic system and actually getting some idea of how it worked and what the possibilities are. We are told it's powerful but they barely use it and we don't know what the possibilities of it are. The contrived trial was more than I could handle and had to stop. It all started out soo good though.

Is the book 4 out yet? I really want to know what happened after this,, this is really a good book

Loving listening to this, it very much reminds me of the First Law trilogy by Joe Abercrombie, which is my all time favourite set of books, so high praise indeed from me 👍🏻👍🏻

Just finished! No spoilers but this is a great second book in a series! Drama mystery suspense comedy.. it’s definitely worth listening to :) whoever reads this and gets encouraged to listen I hope you enjoy!!
