You can't focus on a bright moon in "night mode", it'll not be able to compensate. Night mode is for videoing in dark settings, the bright-as-white moon throws your camera a curveball, one right at it's poor little back when it wasn't expecting one. You'd have gotten a better picture filming in "sunlight mode". That's how my camera software explained it to me anyways. You're telling your camera to expect darkness and then flooding bright light at it.

I loved this back in the day. It, along with cover bands who make things their own like Postmodern Jukebox and Tragedy, will always remind me that adaptations can improve access and visibility of the originals.

Yea I remember Jiffy as well, I'm 43 watched a ton of TV in the 80s. I do think Jiffy existed, and my guess for effects like this, is they changed from Jiffy to jiff before the internet was prevelant, and it would be easier for a company pre internet to just scrub all or most of the history after a logo or name change.

As I rewatch this, I am struck by how this “team” acted so chaotically at opening stage of this map challenge. Why? Because once they had a shelter, enough wood and cobblestone to make a crafting bench, furnace, they could have made enough torches to light up the spawn area keep any mobs from spawning near their shelter as they explores the tunnel and beyond, preventing the utter chaos of mobs attacking them and their shelter as they repeatedly respawned while clearing the tunnels for loot to build the monument!!!

Watching this again on Jan 1, 2024 and I also have to see the dentist to get a crown put on a broken lower molar! Again, RIP, Uncle Troy.

Hey Troy. I have come across the ME just a few months ago and I am as certain as one could be about such a thing that this is a real phenomenon. It certainly seems that some people notice it more than others but it is happening. The Jiffy one always struck me as strange because we always had "Jif" in the house and considered I would have noticed it like others. But you saying that this happened before the 80s makes sense for me because I was not born yet. One element that never seems to come up is how MEs happen in the same time frame for everyone. The mirrors changed around 93. FOTL happened pre 9/11 but in 2000/2001 for me anyways. Just wondering if you have a guess for when Jef changed?

I know this is over 9 years ago now but I just got the problem on a Logitech HD Pro C920 web-cam! when I changed the port it's plugged into by plugging it into a 4 port USB 2 hub. It tells me it's 1.1 and I'm ignoring it. I looked up the problem on the old internet and this is where I ended up. I thought I would put a reply in here just in case you were listening out there Uncle Troy. Your talk was so amusing I felt I had to respond somehow from the deep south of New Zealand. I'm not stalking you btw. Just examined the Hub with a program called USBVIEW and although the HUB is USB 2 the individual ports are shown as only supporting 1.1 so Logitech message is actually correct (cheering heard in the background)
