Alcohol use arguably kills more people in the USA each year than firearm use (which includes suicide) [publichealth.jhu.edu/sites/default/files/2023-05/2023-may-cgvs-alcohol-misuse-and-gun-violence.pdf]. I love Ani's music (even this song, though I do not agree with the premise), but the criminalization of the production, sale and use of alcohol is going to be more effective in reducing unnecessary death in the USA than overturning the right to keep and bear arms. The reference includes discussion of the intersection of alcohol use and firearm abuse.

God it's depressing how accurate this is nearly 25 years after this song was written.

it's a tenor guitar. Neko case plays them a lot too. They're usually tuned to match the top four strings of a guitar but of course this being Ani, it's anyone's guess what they're tuned to. :)
