    Thank you for this very understandable instruction video. I have used this on a horse down the road that is not well looked after by its owner. The horse was extending its neck twisting it sideways and lowering its head towards me. I applied the gentle pressure to that spot finding the horse lowering it's head straightforward and closing its eyes the same as I saw in the video. Checked horse again this afternoon and found it recovered and neck muscles relaxed. Really appreciate the guidance. She's 31 year's old

    Can you do a video on how to tell if your horse is just tight in the back end or sore because I have a gelding and he’s a Tennessee walking horse and I’ve had him on barrels for a while now and he seems tight/sore in the back end and I can tell which one he is and I’ve stretched him and put stuff on him to see if it would help and I don’t know if it’s just he’s breed or just him and I really need help. And his neck has been stiff to so I’ll try this and hopefully it will help!

    Will it go away on its own ? My horse got it sadly

    • @samanthamckay4493
      @samanthamckay4493 Před 2 lety

      My horse does too, our vet said it is largely untreatable and will be a lifelong issue. But it doesn't cause pain, but it will make it more difficult for your horse to use it's hind end and back properly. So unless it is very severe, then you can still ride your horse. Unfortunately it could probably never be a show pony, but idk what discipline you do if you do one. I would definitely look into exercises that will help your horse use itself to the best of it's ability, but it will never go away. There are surgeries you can get also, but they haven't seen an overwhelming positive result and that could put your horse in more pain than before. Anyways I hope this helps and I hope you horse and you can continue to make amazing memories 🥰

    • @saraadzic889
      @saraadzic889 Před rokem

      @@samanthamckay4493 you can treat it surgically but it depends on the severity of sympthoms. But even with surgical approach it doesn`t come to resolution of sypthoms. Trauma of hind legs (or after transport) cause fibrosis of semitendinosus/semimembranosus/biceps femoris or gracilis and that is the reason why cranial phase of step is shortened. The most importan thing ,as you said, is that is not painfull but it definately cant be a sport horse anymore. Hope this helps and that your horses are still doing good :)
