I personally didn’t mind the basic starts because it’s a simple RPG career just where you rise up rankings and win titles which tbh is all I need for a career. I do have to say 2k19 definitely has the best one with a great blend of story and RPG. Definitely great also while I love the intro The Lock and don’t like the intro to The Legacy I personally feel like they swap at the end with Legacy having a great end and Lock having a bad ending

I disagree on the ranking of female 2k23, showing Justina at the start, her shining moment, linking it into LJ, how its affected Just, how it and Justina herself tie into the Legacy story, along with the debut flopping at SS. Are all part of the story Legacy tells of how women in WWE have often been ill-treated, misused, overlooked over the decades, along with how having a famous relative hanging over like a shadow, yet the same one who feels her peak was cut short. Having to look on and see their niece get to do what she couldn't? That's part of what makes Lgacy such a great storyline. If we were simply told it, or it was shunted to a sidequest later on. It wouldn't have had the same impact I feel. MyRise especially in recent years are telling pretty set stories with pretty set points that offer illusions of choices that change a line or two at best or show a few different scenes. But still lead to the same twists, turns and railroad the story overall in the direction the developers make it.

Imo for 2k23 bruno sammartino was really good and possibly better than super cena, think about it: he wasnt in any games for years and also was a surprising inclusion to the ending of showcase (the match was quite hard too imo)

it's a little bit out of context, but nowadays WWE 2K18 is literally unplayable, because once you've finished the main story, you have no more points to spend to upgrade your superstar, that sucks

2k18 was the worst career mode they say nothing and you just di the same crap every time 2k really screwed people over because how do you make 2k17 so amazing witht the career hut mess up 2k18

i love how myrise\mycereer storys are all conected in 2k19 buzz and cole quin make a podcast and in 2k20 you can listen to it! in 2k23 you meet slade and gaberiel slade and you get a story line with them! in 2k24 undisputed becky lynch is world champion but g-g takes it but in unleashed you take g-g's spot!

I personally loved 2k22 myrise. It was unlike every other career mode in the past and gave you the options of which stories and shows you wanted to play and go to. It also gave you the option to turn face or heel whenever.

How hardcore of red to give her bullies granny bed sores that is the MOST badass thing ever to say not I'm gonna make you pay ill tell how you cheat during your matches and get you off the team not something like that and how trey is a total simp that needs help from a girl boss only to get set up gee sounds like the most recent Indiana Jones movie honestly no I'm going to let the big bads granny get injured and possibly get an infection bravo well done

1. 2k19 Great career with goofy storylines and buzz is actually a good character unlike Trey Final rating 9.7/10 2. 2k24 Male Loved being the dark horse who pull off upset after upset until eventually winning the undisputed WWE universal champion. Final rating 9.6/10 3. 2k22 Female Loved the heel stories and the cutscenes are pretty good. Final rating 9.4/10 4. 2k22 Male Same thing as the women's but a little worse Final rating 9.3/10 5. 2k24 female Loved the TBD indie debut like 2k19 but I think was done a bit worse but the storylines are good Final rating 9.2/10 6. 2k23 Female A pretty mid debut you lose in minutes because of Charlotte shoving you off the top turnbuckle causing you to injury your ankle and get a riptide and pinned Final rating 9.1/10 7 2k17 The crowd debut was pretty decent but I wish it was like svr 2010 where finn would cut a heelish promo and call you out to fight him for the title with a choice to either fight or stay sitting and if your stay sitting down finn would taunt you and then the game would force you to fight but over all pretty meh. Final rating 9.0/10 8. 2k23 Male The lock debut was not good but bonus point for recreating santino's debut minus us being a fan that gets called to the ring Final rating 8.8/10 9. 2k16 Once again starting in the PC and having to do grindy match to eventually retire is very linear and repetitive after like three matches. Final rating 8.6/10 10. 2k15 The first time career mode is in a 2k game and they did a terrible some Cas named Barron Blade embarrasses you in the PC for some reason Final rating 8.2 11. 2k18 PC again and this time there are no voice overs and the objectives either lead you to win or lose match Final rating 8.0 12. 2k20 So besides from the glitches the debut was the worst Red was actually pretty decent and she had some pretty good moments and storyline but Tre not so much he literally got his wrestling name from slipping on a lunch Trey in highschool Final rating 3.4/10

5 years later they still can’t fix universe mode I really wish yukes and thq was still making the games like literally even svr 2009 with lack of modes was still doing better then most 2k games

I wish the next My Rise is like the Buzz one. It was fun with lots of twists and turns. Also loved the story with Broken/Woken Matt Hardy.

2k20- the worst story is 2k20

There wasn't a single redeemable thing about 2k20's cringe storyline with it's completely unlikable characters. The graphics during the cutscenes look like PlayStation 1, the dialog is cringe, I rage quit rather than playing as the 2 main characters. I wanted them to lose every match. I never hated someone as much as I hated those two.

I would love if they gave us bo dallas as a suprise card. He is now back with company id love to have bo in my universe mode annoying everyone lol

The female storyline in WWE 2k23 also stinks. In my opinion it is worse than the male one. Ava or whatever her name is, she is just a bad tag team partner and a overall pain. Then I made the mistake of turning on her for a WORSE storyline with Justine.

That's why I create and live my own Stories with my own created Chars in Universe Mode. I created them,gave the their own unique background Stories and personalities. Their stories are real and intense. With shocking,twist,turns and suprises. 5 banger Matches day in and day out. And it's unpredictable as it gets, cuz sometimes I let my plans change without even knowing it myself. Ofc there are real wrestlers involved too.
