Making the World's Fastest RTX A2000
Inspired by @NotFromConcentrate 's A2000 mod, I set out on my own modding adventure to create my own RTX A2000Ti. By tweaking and modifying existing mods from REVOCCASES and N3rdware, I created the World's Fastest RTX A2000 nicknamed "RTX A2000Ti-X3". Of course this is all just a friendly competition and I have MAD respect for Josh and Eric! 😀

One question, I hope you can answer, can the 240w power supply from that PC power the Rx 470 OC without problems? How advisable is it in the long term?
@@josegerardogarcia7929 seems to handle it just fine. I ran it OCed for months without issue
@@WiltshireTutorials thanks bro, you are the best
@@josegerardogarcia7929 no problem. Let me know if you have any more questions
@@WiltshireTutorials I have another question, I would like to know if it is possible to install a conventional ATX power supply in that chassis, I understand that it uses SSF power supplies, but is there a way to put an ATX power supply in it? And if possible, how difficult is it? I saw that you have a video modifying that chassis but it doesn't go into detail about how it was done, I have that same PC and I would like to put a better power supply on it.
@@josegerardogarcia7929 The answer for ATX PSUs is no. It will not fit. Only SFX PSUs will fit. The Optiplex actually uses it's own proprietary form factor, but is most similar to TFX PSUs. It's not difficult for the mod. All you need to do is trace the dimensions of the SFX PSU on the back and cut out a part of the case. That's all.
How were you able to get the pcu to plug into the motherboard? I have a 3050 sff and it have a 10 pin (one 6 and one 4) and I don’t know how I am going to get a power supply to work with it?

Trying to buy my granddaughter one of these rite now. Only powersports thing she don't have, yet, the one I'm looking at had a 10hp and I'm planning on putting a 1940's 5.4hp Evinrude on it
That's an awesome thing to do for your grand daughter. For the Hal Kelly Wetback. I wouldn't recommend anything smaller than 15HP. It will be difficult for the boat to plane with anything less. I would also recommend the Glen-L Tiny Titan over the Wetback for a beginner's build. The Tiny Titan is 2' short and I used to run a 6HP Johnson on mine with no issues back in the day.

I also have gotten my hands on one of those Frankenstien cards. Haven't had the time to test them out yet!
@@WiltshireTutorials lovely low power card with pretty good performance, i havent had any issues using the community drivers from the frankien drivers website
@@WiltshireTutorials my only issue with my card at least is i cannot turn up or down the power, clock speed or anything, and the one i have also has NO fan speed control. Even after reppacing the fan with a pwm fan (mine came with a normal 2 pin fan) it had no Pwm output on the connector. I feel like if a shunt mod was done, nothing would happen, i hope you get better luck with yours
@@joshwayop5413 Hmmm, what driver did you install for thebcard? It very well could be a driver issue for it!
@@WiltshireTutorials latest frankein driver from the frankienstien drivers website for it, its not really the drivers fault, part is the fact that the drivers are modded community and partly the hardware that makes this even work at all, These card do NOT work with nvidia official drivers, thats why frankenstien cards arnt too big of a thing but have great efficiency

Ghetto but effective xD love it! Would love to get back to small GPUs that don't need a ton of PCIe cables.
@@escapefromdubai187 It's what's inside that counts, not looks 😋😂 It is pretty nice now to have to use any cables for a GPU, I'll tell you that!
The reason you are maxing out at 144fps in Apex is because you have a 144hz monitor need to run the fps_max 0 command in launch options to get past it.
@@DarrenPC Yes, I'm aware of that console command. I run games at their stock settings when I benchmark with no mods or extra commands. Really good tip for others though!
Amazing little card. I would love to see how further you could get with a modded A4000 SFF Ada, but tbh we have the new gen at the corner, hopefully we get more SFF cards!
@@amigodesigns it truely is an amazing little powerhouse. I'm definitely going to get my hands on an RTX A4000 SFF ADA. I will also be shunt modding that card when the time comes. The SFF market was kinda dry for a while, but it seems like companies are realizing there is a market for it! Hopefully more SFF stuff in the future.
Great to see you upload again my good sir 😇😁👍 The A2000 …… price aside, is quite an engineering feat for what this GPU can do 💪👍. The GPU shroud mod definitely helped with the scores, congrats my dude 🥳🥳
Glad you liked the video! I plan on being more active with uploads. I'm gonna try at least! You could achieve all of this for much cheaper, if you have the correct tools or know someone who does.
I've been wanting to mod my A2000 for a while now, but most i've done so far was a copper mod for the memory. It's been on my list for a while now, but seeing this video and the heatsink, i think i might give it a shot again. Granted the modded heatsink isn't in stock, so i might have to buy my own normal heatsink and mill out the spots for the caps/inductors etc. (from what i see, it's a 120x60x20 mm copper heatsink with milled areas for some components). Great video, isn't there a way to add more voltage to the card by soldering some cables to a molex connector or anything like that?
For this mod, I decided to skip the Copper shims for the memory and use thermal pads in between the copper heatsink and the memory. No issues for the memory temperatures that way, thankfully! Would love to see your results, if you decide to take another shot at modding your A2000! Those dimensions are correct for the copper heatsink. You will have to drill and tap threads into the block for the 2 retention screws on the back. Yes! You can go that route. Currently I'm drawing my additional power via the PCI-E slot. Which has the potential of harming the slot on the motherboard, if it overdraws too much power. To mitigate that risk, you can solder a 6-pin onto the shunt resistor to provide the additional power needed by the shunt mod Glad you liked the video! Thanks for watching.
5 LIKES IN 9 minutes bro fell off
@@Frizy-- that what happens when you don't upload for 5 month 😅😋
@@WiltshireTutorials LOL
surely the black paint makes it... cooler thanks, i'll be here all week!
I see what you did there...
150 USD is too expensive for this, I will just get an 8 pin header for 50 cents and a stock shroud for another 20 USD.
Fair enough! The 8-pin header will make no difference unless you shunt mod the card to draw more power. The only benefit will be not having to use the soldered on 6-pin extension Nvidia did. The heatsink upgrade is definitely worth it!

Hi. I don't know if you'll see my comment. Can you please tell me what config to use for HP Pavilion 15-p170nr?

@@WiltshireTutorials Unfortunately, it didn't work for me. And I couldn't find the laptop configuration. I'll try to search for close models.

Just wanted to say thanks for giving me the confidence to build inside an Optiplex 3060 SFF. While not a full size GPU, I managed to fit a 3050 low profile inside. The best part is that the 3050 only needs 75W, so I could stick with the Dell power supplies and it gets all its power through the PCIE. The i5-8500 does run a bit hot during gaming, so I stole your idea and drilled holes in the side panel. Overall a really fun build!
I'm glad I could inspire you to give modifying a shot! I'm glad you enjoyed the build process too
worked! thanks :)
Glad to hear that!
Thanks man, you have make my day
Glad I could help. Thanks for watching
Im looking to do a small form factor dell optiplex 3050 build i want to change the power supply. Can you share a video on what the modifications were so you can get a upgraded psu in there? i was looking at a Apevia TFX-PFC500W TFX or game max GMX-GT-450G
For some reason, your comment got marked as potential spam. Sorry about that! As for you question, the only thing I really did to get the TFX PSU in the chassis was to drill out a few rivets that were blocking the PSU from seating against the back of the case and trimmed a few pieces of metal that were in the way. Pretty simple and I don't think that warrants a whole new video on those tiny modifications. Either one of those PSUs will work. It all depends on what GPU you want to use and how much power it draws.
As I expected, a 5 month old video and the site is already down. That, my friends , is why you don't buy this Chinese junk.
They still seem to be active on their IndieGoGo www.indiegogo.com/projects/picopc-world-s-smallest-mini-pc-for-gaming-work#/updates/all and have an active website at picopc.net/ Maybe they moved domains or forgot to renew the other domain? I'm not sure. I'll look into things.
You Sir Are A Wizzard.

How'd you get those noctua fans hooked up to your system? I'm trying to reduce the temps for my system so I can go from a 1650 to a 3050 6GB LP but can't wrap my head around how to get the 80 and 40mm fans connected to the computer before I buy them, as I don't want to get something I can't use.
I used a fan splitter that allows me to connect multiple fans to the fan header on the motherboard.
@@WiltshireTutorials Thanks so much for replying so fast. I just sent an order through for the splitters and fans themselves, but I've been wracking my brain to figure out how that would work. Hope I don't have to return anything. I'm working with a 5060SFF and looking at the Noctua 80mm for the front but it says to not connect it to the fan connector as its a 5v and it would get burnt out by that 12v connection (?). So what I've got so far is a SATA Y splitter and a 15 pin Sata to 4 PC fan connector (I'm hoping to get three fans in the back for exhaust, I saw someone with a 9020 do that). And I forgot to say, but amazing video. It makes me want to get into customizing the cases, it looks like a lot of fun.
@@MrOnepiece14 I recommend getting one that is a 5 way splitter with a connector dedicated to the CPU fan. The one I used was this one: www.amazon.ca/ThreeBulls-Cooling-Splitter-Adapter-Computer/dp/B07M5P7VHG/ref=sr_1_4?crid=3E5UI3R5ZDB5K&dib=eyJ2IjoiMSJ9.0Wa20GQf1zt73HFnOAb4scGU3SIFtNyt45cdH3zWyb7TJnZx7yRuTD-opEhyC_u0NVwFAq9dwPre5cgUpWXBdbzOffGhB4ujqkK_6kHnjT6_tJLrpSMdYz97u3lrhOVvitQvBT77B4Yx1z-nrQiwnwak0_kh0_Vx2b8fb4-br_79bmBRjXhae3r_Aq82ta7u22_THxRtGvMMMMp0skl3Pe5VE9vX2HxXsii_-7zkjTQOWrKIBD1JJR2usZx7hHKNnBAMxsFREzEv6ey_IFjE2HxU9DH5gizdCygRV-bdMVI.gbBsnZxmni4fslSCwsN990rH5r8521pGnB29MFl1KW8&dib_tag=se&keywords=fan+splitter&qid=1719247429&s=electronics&sprefix=fan+splitte%2Celectronics%2C103&sr=1-4 There is only one fan header on the SFF boards. The MT have two. Noctua had many variants of their fans. They offer 5V or 12V for different electronics other than PCs. You'll want the 12V version for a PC. Do not use a 5V variant fan as it will burn out the fan and possibly the motherboard. Glad you like the video and that I'm able to inspire you to pick up some case modding! Let me know if you have any more questions. I'm always around.
@@WiltshireTutorials Oh man, thank you. With that 5 way splitter I should still be able to have my shroud+heatsink powered still, right? Also would the Sata Y splitter cable and the 15 pin sata to fan connector still be necessary? And really, thank you for telling me about the 12V variant, I had no idea it existed. Gonna cancel the 5V immediately.
@@MrOnepiece14 No problem. I'm here to help! Are you referring to your CPU cooler? Not sure what you mean by "shroud+heatsink". If you feel like you want to add another fan at the bottom of the case, like I did, then you'll need a SATA power to 3/4-pin fan adapter, yes. You won't need the Y splitter, if you buy the one I linked.
u are a life saver, i almost downloaded from sketchy websites but i found this
Glad this old video still has some use! Thanks for watching
Lol at the "anti static bracelet" just being a silicone bracelet grounded to absolutely nothing.
You are a Genius Thank You
Glad I could help. Thanks for watching
Wow this still works. Thank you for doing the lords' work.
Glad I was able to help! Sad that this is still an issue after so many years!
Wish you had drone footage. Nice video
Thank you! This video was many years ago when drones just became a thing. My brother is a drone pilot now, so next video!
Worked perfectly! Thank you
Glad it worked. Thanks for watching
This is an old video but i still need help. I am not seeing WUP i see 4 interfaces for the adapter. im assuming thats for each port on the adapter. do i have to update each port of the driver? how do i get the wup to show? i use a mayflash
Make sure to switch the adapter over to Wii U mode, not PC mode.
Best SFF Build ever, I love it
Thank you! I'm glad you like MiniFlex! 😁
I like using thermal paste spreaders though. If im paying 300-400 bucks for a cpu, im making sure the thermal paste is fully applied.
I have dell precision 3660 with 13900k, 64gb ram and rtx A4000. Its a beast
Sounds like a beast!
Next week lets do a 64core treadripper and quad 4090s in the same case.
If you're going to fund the idea, I'm in!
Dude look like a psycho,good job,skillfully done😅I like it
i need for HP ProBook 450 G7
A lot of the laptop's will work with a different fan profile. Try out the HP Pavillion DV6
Do this work on MSI Z77A GD55?
No! Strictly the Sabertooth Z77
Hi, I’ve been seeing that a lot of reviews that they leak oil. Has the fans leaked oil when you had them or if you still have them.
None of the fans in the video have leaked oil. They've also been daily driven since this video. My guess was it was a batch of the fans that got too much lubricant for the bear
