Was there a bell tower? Maybe I missed it?
It's a shame that he thought he could buy/build his way to heaven, it doesn't work that way. However, it is very beautiful and we get to see it now days.
Where are all these nude photos of children if the camera was in its beginning stages? I dont believe it was as normal as they make it sound.
One has to ask themselves WHY? Who were these people that lived long ago and did such detailed work which even way back when had to be so expensive? Oh that's right the money was taken from the peasants much like today via our taxes.
Well that ended upbruptly!
Complete rubbish .. not even good drawing …. did ‘fine’ art degree … knee deep in ill educated pompous arrogant pretentious prats .. Decided on an honest way to earn a living . This is bullshit .. her work is not very good.
It’s hard to understand this “mystery” because they demolished disrespected and corrupted a culture stole their identity and spirit
You might have choosen a better thumb nail than that, He's up their with Thatcher
I value Matthew Collings greatly. So well spoken... but dude keeps walking in front of the paintings while hes talking! Can't bloomin see the work you're on about Matthew I know its an old doc but still...
these blue porcelain is from korea not from china. blue and white us from joseon korea we learn this in korean history schools(the most basic stuff). you do not need expertise to differentiate royalty of asia(thus highest royalty in the humanity) and the rest south chinese tribes. in korea the made in china is considered a garbage. Ming is Korea Cing is Manjurian Won is Mongolia, Chinese never had royalty. the map, mathematics, calenders, books all the world technology were made by these north east asians. it is the most basic asian history, not moved by wrong video. more disgusted when jews use our korean name in mongolia border (solongos) as their immitated illuminati crime flags. i almost throw up when US women soccer team wore rainbow flags as if they are doing something. sick. (the bible is fake also 🤢 to the netherlands sickest with fake royalty)
Such an underrated documentary.

I specialise in the art of the brown. I think all these critics have the necessary refinement of taste to appreciate that
Ive just purchased the 20" replica version... stunning set
It was guided. Fuckers stole that shit. WTF why isnttthis in Mexico???
It's a bit of a shame there's only 5 on the Isle of Lewis where they were found. Sort it out British museum what a disgrace
Get over it Jesus wept! They were purchased fair and square, safe and viewed tens of thousands times a year must also add they arnt Scottish neither
Why do these Doc.directors insist on filming in the Dark ...I get it it was dark back then ,but for eff 's sake I'd like to see this stuff
Well done and very interesting documentary, thank you. Would it be possible to have the soundtrack (music/songs) of the documentary. Thank you.
He uses photos, well knock me down and call me shorty! Jealousy is a terrible thing. They (art snobs) choose to ignore the camera obscura, the camera lucida, squaring up, tonking (which I believe is the name for making pricks through one surface to another) and lots more besides. The proof of the pudding, as they say, is in the eating and Mr. Vettriano produces quality work.
Brilliant! thank you.

MERCHANTS AND TRADERS
1982 or something with a schooltrip, was the first and last time I have seen it.
Force de la nature ou tout simplement marginal? Wish they could drop names like Nureyev as if they had anything to do with her talent! Elle a réussi parce qu'elle a osé se dissocier des autres et qu'elle avait un agenda qui ne correspondait pas avec la norme en général!
Mona Lisa 🎉
Absolutely fascinating!
Masterpiece of STOLEN African Arts from Nigeria and Africa. The Whites thought African to Steal . THIEVES !!!
Bomb: Erg!
Wow.
Thank you for this doc. It would have been better if the cameraperson had not been stuck on shallow depth of field, which is pretty, but destroys the depth illusions.
Arte inspirada desde el mismo infierno
There are no rules to abstraction that’s the whole point
THERE ARE NO RULES CONCERNING VISUAL ART - except rules like DON'T USE ACRYLIC ON TOP OF OIL PAINT - BUT AS FOR THE CREATIVE PROCESS - NO!!!
Shiels
omg so inspiring
After watching it I need run to Rijksmuseum now
To me all his portraits are soulless and flat more like illustrations
How pompous of him to decide there are ‘rules’. He can keep his self imposed rules to himself. As far as I’m aware, there were no commandments in relation to creating art.
Ya lost me at Blavatsky.
Good programme ❤
