Desert Tech Wlvrn review, QC issues still present
Where did the IWI Tavor operation system originate from?
zhlédnutí 253Před 2 měsíci
In this video I go over why I think the Desert Eagle is the ancestor of the Tavor rifle, and not the AK or Galil as others have suggested
AK vs AR Dust test
zhlédnutí 4,2KPřed 9 lety
Testing the AK and two ARs in a dusty environment. The test was fun and good to know, but I consider it a failure as none of the rifles malfunctioned.

Large Truck leaf spring Crossbow
zhlédnutí 47KPřed 10 lety
Home made truck leaf spring Crossbow for a engineering project. This thing scares me every time we shoot it! It was set up originally for racquet balls, but now small rocks work well. In the future will make it capable of larger rocks :)
How well does your Desert Eagle work, though? On a rare day, I want one. Then i read owners experiences and change my mind. I've only handled one, never fired one.
M80 type 7.62x51 is just machine gun fodder. Not concerned with it. I wanted reliability and reasonable precision with quality ammo. That's what I get with mine! It's an X95 Gen 2 in .308. Like you, I'd buy an X95 if it had the upgrades the T7 has.
Is the bolt larger than AR-15?
I'd love to see a comparison to the tavor 7 in your next video regarding accuracy, reliability etc.
You mention a mod for the gas system? Was it just running the gas system in regular mode?
Have you had any issues with 25rd lancer mags? What about the D50 drum? Looks like you're using the 25rd pmags.
Dont worry, theyll fix some of the problems with this platform just in time to release a new platform and abandon the one you have. lol
SORRY for your troubles… THANK YOU for saving me 3 LARGE… Not purchasing …
I can't believe people still trust this scammy company and buy their garbage overpriced rifles
Both guns are legendary ❤
I’ll stick with the totally POS and super duper difficult to load, rack the charging handle, and crazy OAL AR10. (Thats at your desert tech)
I really want these rifles to be good, and I want one, but it needs to match the reliability of my other rifles that unfortunately suffered a boating accident.
Seems like Classic Firearms also had an issue with a SR25 PMAG dropping out of .308 rifle with one of their mags. I wonder if those mags are more prone to issues with the catch. I remember Karl from InRange also had issues with 25rd mags with the MDR/MDRX. Wonder if Magpul put out some bad batches at some point.
Sounds like a maybe to me..The 2nd pmg worked good for classic..Lancer also worked
Had a tavor 7 for over a year. About 2.5 to 3 moa with a non magnified red dot. No reliability issues as yet. But I haven’t fired steel case from it. And won’t if I can avoid it.
Imagine how awesome of a company desert tech would be if they ever figured out how to make a gun that works the first time.
This is the truth i am a x2 owner of MDRX, neither has ran flawless. For rifle they want to be military grade they fall short. For as long as the MDR/X has been made they should have it ironed out better than this. I mean PSA released the JAKL and had better results than DT every hoped
Do you think the front mag release is necessary or should they just make a GOOD rear release?
I think it makes reloading a lot easier, but I'm also used to the X95, T7, and AR15 releases.
@@DesertCoyotes I had fast check drill/reloads on my MDRX back before it broke back to back 3 range trips in a row ha. What did the chipped bolt look like?
@@Earther94 the thin web section had a chip missing
Having good time
Would you recommend getting one now?? Or still waiting?
I would say might be worth waiting just a little bit, unless you just can't wait. Mine is a sample size of one, be good to see what other peoples experience is with it.
I am saving every penny to buy one!!
Bro please lose weight and be able to PT at least a couple hours All the guns in the world won't save you if SHTF and your obese.
I'd like to, not an easy thing to do 😂
@@DesertCoyotesstart small, get an elyptical or bike at home at just do that for 30 each day. Then slowly add some body weight exercises. I’m trying to lose 35 pounds right now. You can do it man!
Kinda depends on the scenario and your situation. If it’s the kind where you need to just lay low in your house for as long as possible waiting for things to pass over/get better I’d rather be on the bigger side than be 10% bf. Thats kind of a niche though.
What gas setting are you running with your huxwrx can? I have a similar setup with my wlvrn and I need to run it on S(second lowest) with the huxwrx or it will have FTE. I get it I go higher on my gas settings it will get some weird fte where the casing will spin 180 degrees. This was confirmed with shooting 1 round and it locking back on the empty mag and seeing the casing facing backwards.
Mine will do the same thing, running it on the S setting. One up is when I got the two stovepipes
Glad they fixed it. Hows the accuracy?
Dunno yet, will find out
Any chance you can release the file of your Tavor 7 handguard design?
Thanks for being the canary in the coal mine
Happy to see it's running now. Looking forward to more content.
Thank you!
I found a place that has the Tavor 7 in stock and I'll have mine the beginning of next month. It's taken forever to find the OD green.
2 Warranty returns, a bad bolt, bad spring, bad mag bar, and a damaged door thing from one of those failing. That DT social media account must be feeling pretty silly right about now...
How do the drum mags feel in the bullpup? Does it get in the way of your arm, or is it out of the way, & totally comfotable to utalize?
It's awkward, but usable, it's gets in the way of your normal grip.
!!! Thank god your not wearing gloves
i was hoping this version was going to be the one DT figured out...guess not. I'll stick with my cheapo RDB...it works...then I'll get a .308 PSA Jakl with the bullpup lower
I love my Rdb.
@@Odinforever2000 so do I...but I wish it had a heavier barrel profile. At the very least...they should have gone with a real pencil barrel profile
@@signkutter9218 Outside of more weight (which I like how light it is) What does a heavier barrel profile accomplish?
@Odinforever2000 adding 8 ox in weight won't make much difference..and it will make the barrel less prone to flex when shooting off a bag or bipod. It wouldn't matter nearly as much if the barrel was free float
mines doing the same, its absolute bullshit
Sorry to hear that. I got mine back, hoping to get a range video soon
Damn... It sucks seeing this because I was VERY excited about the 3rd version of this gun and hoping I could get a fully ambi reliable 308 platform to suppress... But I'll just wait and save up the $4100 for the SIG Spear 308 which to date is literally the only fully reliable 308 semi-auto platform I've heard of
DT does not have any issues with their bolt action rifles so I dont know why these rifles are made so poorly.
Glad i was patient ablut buying one, just saved myself a 3k dollar mistake. Ive noticed with brand new guns coming out, something tends to be wrong with them one way or the other
I was just about to pull the trigger and buy the exact one you have. Looks like I'll wait
3:59 mate have you tried to slam it with your foot? Never fails to work. No, it wont fall apart
Awaiting your further testing!
Самый надежный АК, это АК тип 1.
AR guys when AR does bad: Oh, my favourite weapon didn't do good but still i love it. AK guys when "AK" does bad: proceeds to cry and make excuses

Dropped the rifle off again with them. They were friendly and professional and we talked about my concerns. They showed me the offending spring compared to a correct spring. It had about 1/2" or so missing. While I did not have a microscope, in my opinion it look fractured, not cut. It looked like this: www.researchgate.net/figure/Appearance-of-spring-fracture-and-cracks_fig1_228818294 Not cut ends like you typically see like what is shown is this video www.reddit.com/r/oddlysatisfying/comments/rwjdxi/closeup_of_cutting_different_materials_in/ Not sure, either it was defective spring from the spring factory, or it broke when it was installed/removed an the small end piece does as dropped springs do, and disappeared into Narnia. A very possible honest mistake and probably a once in a million chances something like this happens. This, remind you was not the only issue I experienced, and they are working on those issues as well and seemed genuinely concerned about the issues and wanting to make it right. I'm confident the issues will be resolved and I'll have a great shooting WLVRN. Once I get the rifle back, I will be doing a part 2 video as promised, and I will be obviously doing 25 round mag tests, reliability tests, and some more accuracy tests.
can you expound on the chipped bolt, any pictures of it?
Dont forget this is an replica
Incoming product announcement for WLVRNx 🤣
We have just processed this rifle in warranty and his magazine release spring has been cut in half, I am not sure why it was cut we do not know how it got cut, we have searched high and don’t have an answer. The reviewer says he did not cut it either. Nevertheless we have replaced it with a new spring to resolve the issue.
I never cut that spring and it was sent back to you as I received it. Why would I sabotage a rifle I paid nearly 3k of my own money for?
Also 28:52, I literally say that spring could stand to be heavier...
Sounds like desert tech being desert tech again. Deny accountability and blame the customers 😂
Wtf, why imply maliciousness on the customer... Even if it was true (I'm sure it's not) it's not a PR war your going to win, just say the part broke and return the rifle...
100% not a PR battle to pick. Here's what I, a prospect customer, would like to see: "We have just processed this rifle in warranty and found that the magazine release spring appears to have broken, causing the magazine retention problems you were experiencing. We stand behind our products and will do everything possible to make this right for you. We are investigating our manufacturing processes to ensure this doesn't happen again." I don't want to buy your shit and have you get defensive with me when it breaks. Shit happens, it's a $3 part and nobody died.
LOL No kidding. Stay far far away from this stuff.
I get personal preference but honestly you’re just nitpicking bro. I freaking love mine and think it’s amazing. Buy a freaking AFG too and then just saw off the access and then use a Dremel to round it off and it’s freaking perfect. I don’t know what you’re bitching about.
Sorry I know it’s not a bull pup and not very ergonomic but if you want a reliable semi 308 then get a m77 zastava 😅 and it’s cheaper to boot lol😊
The Triad kit looks better than this, could get a complete setup for less than 1/2 the price
I'm guessing you're either very handy, or a gunsmith
Yeah, I've totally forgotten about the Carmel... Good reminder video that it exists
