I hate this mode very much. Was excited with it but too much anxiety

I am not a competitive gamer. I like single player games mostly. I like Marvel Snap but it already feels too sweaty, this mode even more so! Can’t do it.

This mode is absolute garbage... Nuff said. Although if more were said, it's amazing how we still have to deal with the garbage in the caches but this can have 50 million rewards.

I totally forgot this was going to be a returning thing until you said that. I actually hate the snapping and retreating aspects of the game so it’s nice the parts I dislike are getting dialed up to 11 for the repeating event.

What do you expect when you have put a gambling mode in the game without teaching people to budget their bubs? 😂 people will always go all in if they are not disciplined about budgeting. It’s a cultural/societal issue with new apps getting people abusing it without teaching people using apps the responsible way

I got my Cassandra without spending any money after 5h of playing and i must say this mode is 80% arishem decks 15% decks which target arishem and 5% bots , it feels awfull to play vs arishems only (i was playing Thena Hawk deck so arishems was ez wins for me if they havent highrolled but still it feels just bad to have like 10 matches of only arishems in a row ...) First i thought this mod is ultra predatory but after some play i just realised you never play for max bubs you have, tbh i made my Cassandra at 400k table becouse if you and opponent snap there you can get even up to 1.6mln bubs you dont even need to go to higher tables. And there is a lot of bots which just give you free wins if you can outplay them. It aint that bad but recharging with gold is just stupid and it can feel like p2w. And the low tier table cost was just pure bs couse you shouldnt be required to bid all your bubs on first game, that was just a bad idea.

Another thing I really hate about the insane bub scaling is how it creates a lot of playerbase fragmentation amongst all the tables. The top 5-6 tables have ridiculously long queues often because so few people are going to have that many bubs on hand. It feels like a lot of the issues the event has would be solved if the exponential curve of bub gain was more flat, but I think they did it this way to make it seem more flashy.

As of now I am enjoying this event.

You said it all, man. This mode has been a stressful experience to me. All I want is the card, and losing = waiting an hour is a terrible experience to me. My time is scarce and valuable and to acknowledge a content I want is locked behind a system I don’t enjoy could mean the end of my journey with the game.

Im going free to play going forward!! I’ve wasted enough money on this game.

i’m not sure if you address it in the vid but what annoyed me the most today was how much they’re pricing the spotlight variants for 😂 they’re gonna charge that for dan hipp variants which is ridiculous

I swear I'm not a positive pete, but I really like it. I think long term, it might end up with quite a slow safe retreat heavy playstyle, but for a week or so ppl won't be playing very optimally so for now it's really fun and different. I've enjoyed hitting the next bubs regen and then yoloing all my bubs where if I lose I'll be regened to where I was by the next morning, then otherwise playing at quite safe tables, well within my bankroll. 100% agree about the lowest tier, massive mistake so many ppl (me included) broke within 5 minutes and locked out, really bad feeling to start with, especially with everyone else playing. I think this mode would contrast really well against a true elo based ranked mode. So this would be a grind your way up mode and ranked would not be based on how much you play just on performance even if you don't grind a lot.

I only played for about 30 minutes to an hour. I've never gotten to infinite so I expected to lose my "chips" rather quickly. I stayed on the "kiddie" table until the rewards began to slow to a screeching halt, then moved up to a higher table. I have yet to part with any gold. As it is in any Casino, always keep your eyes on the chips you have to spend and not the next prize. Never gamble with chips that you are not prepared to lose. Also, if you have a problem with a gambling addiction, call 1-800-gambler (it's a real number that should be included in the fine print, under this "new" game mode).

The attitude that its ok to really mess with people's minds , but its ok because you are a company and most of the whales can definitely afford what they are spending , right? Because if they can that makes it ok , right? Come on guys right ? Want some borders?

I dunno. Playing two tiers below what I can lets me play consistently. I haven’t had to spend gold and like you said it’s free rewards. What else are gonna do play infinite?

the timer system is honestly so bad, i genuinely can't believe it got approved. Some real greedy mobile company energy from that. It's not how they made it sound it would work at all

You really nailed it here. My first or second game was a turn 6 loss, sending me down to zero bubs. Being locked out for 8 hours withing 5 minutes of the event launching felt REALLY bad. I needed time to experiment with the mode and learn how to manage my bubs. But they don't offer any onboarding of that sort. Really bizarre. That being said, I'm happy to see so many rewards being "theoretically" achievable, but I really feel bad for people who aren't close to collection complete trying to compete in this. This is REALLY competitive.

Deadpool’s diner was the last straw for me. “Don’t have enough bubs? Pay us money!”. What a sad sad thing to see a good game get corrupted by greed. It’s been a good run cya. I’ll prob head over to Marvel Rivals to get my marvel fix. That game seems promising, but so did snap.

I agree with you 100%, despite myself being one of the people that enjoys the double aspect. It is predatory.

Also before someone says it, this mode is nowhere close to being poker. I love poker, specifically texas hold em, and while I understand why people like drawing that comparison I find it nowhere even close to being as fun as that. Aside from the rewards and art theme being nice, I really wish they put their resources into a more interesting new mode. What do you think?
