Finally achieved my first 1st place sweep. 1st place RAW and 1st place PAX. I made some large adjustments to compression stiffness that I previously thought would be too much. Turns out it helped quite a bit. I still get some understeer that is most likely the new front LSD from last year that I still haven't learned how to properly drive yet. Like it says in the title, coned away the coveted 1st RAW and 1st PAX. But, that means the changes from the cam challenge at Peru have been successful at making the car faster.

Another race weekend, 2 more wins for the DSM! This weekend before Saturdays event, I disconnected the front sway bar as I have been battling some understeer since changing the spring rates this off season. It worked amazing. The car has never had this much front grip. I made this a longer video this time and its an entire weekend recap. Drop a comment and let me know what you think of the format.

Points event number 2 in my local region. I did actually get an alignment finally. I messed with the suspension a bunch over the winter and never aligned it until now. It was a hot day, I let the tires get too hot. Have to do better with these street tires. Won my class, slow 2nd RAW overall, 6th PAX overall. Next event is the CAM challenge national event in Peru, IN in a couple weeks.

2nd day of the Charlotte event weekend. It rained all day but a lead from day 1 and a good rain tire meant I took home the win for the 1st time ever at a National level. What a great weekend

First real event this year on the new setup. Changed the spring rates quite a bit in the off season. Still need to be dialed in as it was getting very bouncy on a mostly flat surface. Almost everything. The only stock control arm left is the curved compression arm in the front. Double adjustable Feal coilovers. RM sway bars. Volk solid subframe mounts

Coilovers are definitely worth it. Don't go too cheap though as they can get pretty bad. I have Feal 442 coilovers and pretty much every control arm aftermarket except for one

Currently getting my GSX ready to get into some auto-cross events around NC/ VA. How does the car handle itself when doing autocross? It looks like it understeers fairly noticeably but I could be way off

Nice gsx, love the 16g. I have mine at 18 psi. You can still push that turbo 5 to 10 psi more, you might wear it down faster but you'll get a lot more power out of it.
Same setup except I'm in a talon, 12.1 was my best last season. Hoping to get into the 11s this year with a better converter!
In the video showing the 2-step launch, you mentioned in the description that you were about to tear it down. Did you do a stock rebuild or do a modified build? The car sounds good! I'm in Kentucky and building a 98 GSX myself.

dsm sounds lovely man! i just bought me a 98 gsx 1 owner old man completely stock i was thinking what exactly do i need to upgrade to a 16g setup i dont wanna do anything crazy just have enough power and maintain it a daily part for part if you can help me out i highly appreciate it.

The gsx coilovers don't have the camber plates to adjust alignment. Have you had any issues with alignment?
