Amazing capture! That looks like a large toad (do you know what kind?) caught staring deep down its captor's throat here! I can only imagine what the potential meal is thinking at this moment. 😧🐸😅 It looks quite desperate here, I’m guessing no one reached out, pulling the toad to save its life?? So could the hungry Snake manage to win the struggle and gulp that whole prey down entirely okay?? It also looks like the amphibian is defensively puffing out to prevent sliding down further. When eaten, does the unlucky thing get swallowed alive all the way as well?! It looks so big still, maybe this isn’t the last for the toad and it can somehow survive the encounter?

You can start by being baptized a Traditionalist Roman Catholic in the 1962 or preferrably pre-1955 traditional Latin Rite and attending the Traditional Latin Mass. I am learning more latin words and sentences by attending such a medieval style mass. Of course you will hear the reading and gospel reading in vernacular after the priest recite/prays it in Latin and then the homily is done in vernacular. Come join us!

This is excellent, however, some of the words have been pronounced wrong. In Latin, c makes the ch sound before e and i, g make the j sound before e and i, and sc makes the sh souls before i and e.
It says Classical Latin in the title. That's the ecclesiastical pronunciation.
@@noname4422 Yes you are correct, but Ecclesiastical Latin would be more fitting here wouldn't you agree? I mean in the movie is set in the middle ages and the beginning of the chant is in Ecclesiastical Latin and out of nowhere switched to Classical. It doesnt seem authentic in this scene, the same as if you were to put Ecclesiastical Latin to be spoken in Ancient Rome

@@noname4422 Yes of course it warns us in what pronounciation the song would take place, but what im saying is that in this scene, Classical Latin Pronounciation is inappropriate because it doesn't match the story and the ages in which the film is set. But other than that, its not objectively wrong to use this pronounciation, no, its just the vibe😉😉

This isn't Classical Latin... unless I'm very much mistaken, vowel length is absolutely ignored.
I'm not sure, but I think when singing, the vowel length can be ignored, just like in Mandarin, when singing, you can ignore the tones

Thank you for proving that you are illiterate. Mice are not major items on a wild garter snake's menu. Their liver does not handle the fat content of frequent mouse feedings very well. It is not good for their liver. I do feed him mice as a supplement--just like the toads-- but the primary diet is fish. What is REALLY funny is that you think feeding them mice is somehow better. Mice are more intelligent than toads, and being asphyxiated by CO2 is not what I would call pleasant.
Yes. I know exactly what species of toad it is. Ollotis nebulifer. Not toxic (at least not to a garter snake), and extremely common.

I have a few choices when it comes to feeding a garter snake. I can feed him goldfish which are not nutritionally complete and contain parasites. I can feed him mice, which while nutritious contain a lot of fat and put the snake at risk of obesity, or I can use frogs and toads which contain less fat, are exactly what the snake needs, but put them at a parasite risk. I use a combination of all of the above, and in no way is it possible to avoid feeding these snakes other animals. Get a brain.
Garter snakes have a mild venom that acts as a paralytic. After the first couple minutes, all the toad can really do is keep his lungs inflated and hope he is too big to swallow.
I love how people are so Offended by the death of a stupid Toad to feed a Snake, that they would actually threaten to kill a human being over it.

Well...it would be by default but I can safely say you have the best latin version of this song on youtube...even if because its the only one :D I was searching for it cuz I knew thats what his "conscience" was chanting in but I always wondered what the whole song would sound like.
A good start. Coming off a bit smarmy and condescending, but I think that's intentional. Who is your target audience, if you have one in mind? Also, the variations in cadence and volume in your speaking are volatile enough to make listening a bit difficult without following the video with a distracting degree of intensity, which is not helped by the jumpy frame rate capture of your head movement. Just thought a little criticism could be useful for future iterations ::: )
This snake wont eat pre-killed prey, and while he usually consumes fish and earthworms, he gets the occasional (usually twice annual) treat of a small toad. I do this because it is good for the snake to get some variation in his diet, and because I am fascinated by predation. You dont see me playing rock music or reveling in the suffering. I posted this because I love my snake, and because I thought it would be educational to show how a snake subdues and eats its prey.
