One of the hoses lets fuel in (gravity fed), the other is a vent (air comes out of the tank) to increase flow rate. When you see the fuel come out the vent, you know the car is full.

@@project370z yeah I'm well aware of that but it still seems really slow almost like it's gravity feed.

The right tube is vent. Gas goes in, air has to come out safely. At the end, you can see gas start to come out the vent. That's when they know it's full. Again, the right nozzle is really only there for safety.

It is gravity fed :). Fill hose also has a restrictor, further slowing the flow rate. The idea is make sure it takes longer to fill the tank than it does to change tires - means the tire guys don't have to rush as much and have a safer stop

One hose is the fuel, the other is a vent from the tank to allow air out while fuel flows in. You can see at the very end the fuel comes back out the vent, that is how I know we are full

I think there are restrictions to how many mechanics can be over the wall. The two guys who helped at the end were probably involved in changing the tires.

I would love to have that but it would take the fun and the planing and etc it wont make pit stops more exciting.

i think the problem is the regulation, what i see is it just a tank and it gravity feed

Buy a diesel and fill up at the semi pumps. 34 gallons in under a minute

Just throw the whole full fuel tanks to the car, and there you go

It would be less accurate, I would rather pay an accurate amount than overpaying. Would be neat if I didn't have to stand there for 5 min tho.
