Having been one who has experienced both Army and Marine Corps boot camps, I have to say that Marine Corps boot camp was more intense and challenging than anything that the Army had to offer.
Everything the Marines do has a purpose. The screaming and pressure heightens a soldier's senses and concentration. That helps when under fire on a loud battlefield. They put the weaker recruits through more paces - that helps strengthen the weakest links in a platoon. They give recruits shitty nicknames. This helps build camaraderie. If I could hire one guy for any position in my company, it would be a DI from the Marines.
All kidding and interservice rivalry aside, The purpose of Army basic is to take large groups of American girls and boys and turn them into large groups of obedient and disciplined soldiers. The purpose of Marine Corps recruit training is to take large groups of American boys and girls, weed out those who do not measure up, and transform them into smaller groups of disciplined and motivated Marines. Marine Corps recruit training is just as much of a basic training experience as it is an initiation rite of passage whereas Army basic is simply basic training.
2:55 "SIR?! DO I LOOK LIKE A DAMN OFFICER TO YOU?!" How to offend an Army Drill Sergeant in 5 seconds. Any other branch, you address a non-commissioned officer as sir. In the Army, it's Drill Sergeant.
I'm Army. On the first day, getting off that cattle truck, those drill sergeants were screaming and running around like crazy. I'm not sure what kind of basic training video this is. It was chaos! This video is bullshit. Not sure what Mos this is. Not how it was in my basic training. We were constantly getting screamed at. A Marine must have posted this to make them look better. It's a lie.
Literally both the same just army actually has a brain😂 they posted the softest clips of bct for the army. My drill Sargents trashed and flooded my barracks and smoked us in the water MANYYYYY times😂
Each thing about Marine corps basic training, is a little bit harder. The drill instructors are a little bit harder. The training is a little bit harder. It's a little bit longer. All together that makes it a lot harder
pizza box in the Marine Corps, everyone shoots on the rifle range. the shooting is scored. a recruit/Marine can shoot one of three qualifying scores. the lowest score, Marksman, is indicated by a "pizza box". it's a square badge. next up is Sharpshooter, which looks like an iron cross. following that is Expert, which are two cross rifles and some leaves or garland surrounding it. in the clip at 4:21, they're saying that this recruit/Marine cannot shoot for sh*t.
Watching this really brings back a very vivid and transformational point in my life. I truly love my DI's for what they did. You don't get it at the time, and a lot of it is part hazing and abuse to entertain them. But I don't care, these guys had 12 plus hour days for months, 6 possibly 7 days a week. And they never turned off. And I mean that, until graduation day they never took their foot off the pedal. One of the most incredible things I've experienced was our DI's handing our EGA and shaking our hand calling us Marines. By people that terrified us, but we developed a level of respect seeing what they sacrificed for us. Simply some of the most impressive people there are. They are the gatekeepers of the Marines. And the Marines have hands down the best culture of any organization on the planet. Your a Marine? You instantly become closer than family. Don't even need to know the guys name. Can't tell you how much I miss that.
The one dude who brought his blue suitcase into formation had me ROLLING! Like dude. Nobody else has a suitcase you think they're going to let you be the exception and just ass up a troop formation with a civi suitcase?😂
Here
“Close ya dad gum mouth” 😂😂😂
Drill sergeants yell Drill instructors scream
I love this!! 💪🏼❤️🙏🏼🌟
Being a Marine drill sergeant must be one of the most cathartic jobs in the world.
No such thing as a “Marine Drill Sergeant” It’s simply Drill Instructor
@@elvedinsakinovic5203 Thanks for clearing that up.

Marine Wins! Fatality...
4:40 wtf
2:36 Who tf said allahu akbar??? lol
Be a mentor, bunch of power hungry cucks.
Its not funny. Worst thing about being in uniform is that some point in life u hate ur job even if u joined with motivation.

Stupid editing. I could make Coast Guard look harder than the Marines, with editing and cuts.
4:14. The Sargent on the left doing pizza box lmao. Trying his best not to laugh 🤣
Proof that the Corps level of brainwashing is unmatched. They become marines and nothing else for the rest of their lives
Who cares?

At least usmc comes with music :)
There is no comparison. COORRPPPS!!!
its almost like they make the baddest motherfuckers on the planet vs some bad mother fuckers
If you know you know
Even years later -2024 - this is........embarassing to the Army....funny!...but I am surprised it's still up!

Marines And Army is very different!!! Marines r super intense, wa Army waaayyy more laid back!!! Just facts, not better or worse just the truth!!!
Can someone explain the pizza box part 🤔 4:21

@@dekotuh lmao. Thank you for the detailed explanation, I've been watching this video for years and always wondered
@@bluesuperman1 np, it makes me glad that people are interested in the little nuances of Marine culture. you made my day!
I remember witching this as a poolee and being excited. As a veteran its just hilarious now. Semper Gumby
4:15 childish asl 😂😂😂
None of this "crap" has any real world values. Once out in the civilian workforce. Doesn't pay the bills!
The army dudes are like high school bullies. The marine guys are like roided out frat bros trying way too hard to hype some other bros tf up
Army - Makes soldiers USMC - Makes Spartans who eat crayons.
My DS told me, "Private, when I call your name, I don't want you to walk! I don't want you to run! I want you to APPEAR like a gottdamn GENIE!"💥🧞♂️😂

“You guys” - weak, all around.
lol who’d win 100 M1 Abrams or 100 marines? As much pride marines have, y’all only set up for the army to get the job done.
No one cares about this when there's a actual war
If you can't stand being yelled at, then you can't stand being fired at in battle.
😐
4:40 Must have just had a fresh box of crayons. All kinds of energy....
