Maybe AI is coming up with its own version of the language, much more compact & cryptic, and probably incomprehensible for humans. It might even be not possible to translate it to any human language like english. I'd agree if the model was creating repetitive text, which could not possible hold any information.

AI trained on internet data will produce an approximation of internet data, a kind of averaging of it. Once you get an approximation of an approximation, and then an approximation of that and so on, then you truly have garbage in resulting in garbage out. Only by training AI via human input (and a great deal of it) will the output more closely match the human understanding of reality. So, get the AI out of the internet and onto the streets?? (on second thoughts, let's not)

Funny enough, I was sharing with someone what I do as a freelance writer today and they asked me if it was AI generated writing! I said no, I've been writing since I was 8 or 9 and I went to school for this and I've been a writer my whole career. I do encorporate AI tools into what I do but AI doesn't write my whole pieces for me. It just assists with workflow.

That's a very interesting video about the rise of freelancing and possible niches people can generate business using AI as a tool to solve problems. I'd like to know more on the possible problems that can be solved with AI. I guess creating digital books, enhancing pictures for houses in sale and getting leads sounds pretty obvious and interesting to me.

Great stuff here, and a lovely intro video to those of us who still don’t quite grasp these tools. I run a small business and ChatGPT has been a life saver when it comes to writing generic emails. I don’t have the paid version. I have the free one, but works just as well if you’re not looking to do very complicated tasks. I would’ve loved to see if the professor could create a synthesis perhaps using a different prompt or GPT4 instead of GPT3.5.
