Well you didn't prep the hull, it was still in the elements, and judging from the condition of the rest of the boat it was clearly neglected.

I really like your pool filling pump. I have a stock tank pool that's been holding up since I installed it in 2020. I used Zinser Bullseye 123 primer with a blue tint added to paint the floor and walls. So far no rust, but each year, I have a few spots that have peeled down to the etched metal... they are smaller than a business card. The floor gets scratched up by my shop-vac when I clean it out each season, and also by a step-stool we keep in the water to help the little kids get out. During off-seasons, I keep an all-season sump pump in the pool to keep the water level below an inch . I cannot flip the pool over... I built a deck all the way around it.

The quality difference between genuine Seadek and the knock off stuff is massive. This is the reason why knockoff brands peel because the lamination of the actual foam and glue degrades so quickly.

I think for the price of the replacement EVA, it is probably worth just replacing it rather than going back to the GRP. I think something like Y10 may reduce the staining.

At least $200 if those are in VF-VF+ condition RAW. If you were to press and clean them, you could have a few of those issues graded and get over $400 for the entire lot.

I had looked into these when I was in the military around 1996 when there was a person custom making these type of layouts into whatever table size you wanted. I planned to use my re-enlistment bonus to purchase one. The fact you got that one for $140-$150 is insane considering the price for one the size of yours back then was around $2K-$4K. Outstanding deal!!!

That's nice.... It's honest. It's innocent. It's not pretentious, and it's not over the top. I like it, a lot. Pricewise, I think you did alright. I think I'd happily pay that much for it. Maybe even a tad more if I had go head to head against another interested party.

What a deal! Bet that whistling Transformer is worth 140 bucks. I'm starting to see these little layouts as true folk art; they're so personal and their builders are so attentive to detail. I got a N scale Santa Fe locomotive, 10 Freight cars Transformer and a few little buildings from an estate sale. Soon as I can find some track and a airbrush I'm going to build a grubby little southwest town with lights in the little adobe's 😅

Bummer! What caused the motor to stall? I took the kids and a friend to Lake Arenal in Costa Rica. My Boston Whaler Sport 11 and Chrysler 20 HP plus three adults and an 9 year old on the 11 footer was nice. My motor had not been started in 3 years, but I had it fogged to prevent damage to the motor. However, it took quite a few strokes to start. It didn't idle thought but we had no mishaps on the lake lest we mention a storm that hit us on the way to the dock!
