Have a look at Mirepoix and the area around there; its a thriving town, very french and local and doesn't become a dormitory in the winter like some of the villages on the plains beyond carcassonne. Some of the houses up towards the pyrenees are really off track and of course you can't see the Pyrenees if you are sitting in a crack under them.. 😁

OMG! I stayed in this house too only for one night. They said it was for sale and that was years ago. Loved the house, loved the little town and at the time they had a little pub there with live music and great drinks! I still think of Puivert! But alas, I chose to move to the riveria.

FYI, In the UK & Europe, a yard is a paved over area. A garden is a natural space usually containing foliage, grass, plants, trees & weeds etc. open earth i.e. nature. Please stop with calling a garden a yard!

Village house with possible indesirable neighbours, the problem is the police doesn't do anything about that, we did that and won't ever do it again. My advice, get a separate house not a village house!

Another great video! So to confirm, anytime someone buys a house or a condo in France, there will be 8% closing costs? Are you able to do a breakdown of those costs (which are mandatory like taxes, vs which may not be required if you do something yourself)? Thanks!

Hey Eva! I recently came across your channel and I’m glad to find someone in the Toronto space with similar design taste! I’ve recently been renovating my house and oh my did I have the exact same struggle trying to find zellige tiles in Canada lol!! But a company out in Alberta called River City Tile or Geon tile (owned by the same people) carry zellige tile so you won’t need to pay duties :) and cheaper shipping !! The kitchen turned out great! Love the devol inspo

I would be apt to actually want in a small village than a more touristic place. If there is a market, any water nearby and biking- all good. I bet with the right marketing you can pull in renters- especially those who want the quiet immersive experience.

not my style ( too formal) but as an investment property - what a winner. So much of it is useable immediately to then support the renovations. The kitchens are easy fixes and the biggest need would be those dedicated bathrooms . Even a pool is possible - with those incredible views

sold- great location , light, cool with the stone, a pool...perfect- bedrooms are for sleeping or reading a book in bed...honestly if you can fit beds and stands enough

Eva, if you are still house-hunting... there is a little 2 BR in Caunes Minervois that is GORGEOUS and the price great. Just stumbled upon it. The town is a great location - you're near Provence but also near the Pyrenees and Spain. Nearest substantial town is Carcassonne (!) and the city of Toulouse nearby. The city of Avignon would be near as well. If I were looking I would definitely love this one! (There is a CZcams video.)

299 € is very very great price for this house , apt building ❤. Its a deal , you could rent out all 4?5? Apts as is the kitchens and bathrooms need no renovations or just paint .Most of the renovations are already done This one is great deal ! And its gorgeous
