So, spike technically speaking are faster, but for sprint apike you have to have proper sprinting form to really get anything out of them, and if not they end up hurting more than helping, while as alpha-flys are a marathon shoe, meant to absorb and rebound energy, giving you more freedom in your running form

My first race ever was a 50 miler and on the way there my friend who was running with me (and who has done over a dozen Ultras) said, "don't worry, all you need is your shoes and your water and you'll be fine" It was at that moment that I realized I had forgotten my shoes and we were 2 hours from home. So yeah, I ran a 50 miler in brand new shoes. Not Cortez's, but I did finish (and lose a toenail in the process). That was 2019 and I STILL have not ran an actual marathon to this day 😂
