A war bridle is best!!!
This makes so much more sense
My instructor at camp held the reins while we trotted for the first time so we wouldn’t have the bit bouncing all over in the horses mouth, and it let us feel the trot before we controlled it. They never told us to post or not post so this helped me a lot for next year thank you!
Thank you!!!
This was so helpful. I have found a lot of videos being confusing. Thanks for the short lesson 😊
two kinds of spurs, my friend. those who come through the door, and those that come through the window
🙏⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Thank you very much 👍" Rope, Mandy, & Terry.

Thank you very much 🙏👍⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐. Flow this into riding, yes ❓
Just bought mine today and planning to use it at my show!
All easy practical stuff to understand! Well done on the explanations, thanks much. I suppose my only question that i still have is if the lower center strap is snug or adjusted correctly, does it matter where the hardware sits?it just dont wanna rub my boy accidentally
Very practical professional advice. Thanks 😊
That’s awesome. I’m fairly comfortable on the ground, or even riding in a small space but riding out in the open or trying to go towards another property. my horse starts acting up, and then I trigger. Or vice versa. I don’t know how to get past that.
I like those leg wraps. What kind are they?
never been a big fan of leverage bits, i say all horses if they can’t be ridden in a snaffle they should go back to basics, all horses should be soft in a snaffle and especially bitless too if you can’t ride a horse in a halter don’t ride them in a bit
Leverage bits aren't bad at all, single jointed snaffles are much worse than most leverage bits
Oh my god- I’m pretty sure I’ve been getting on the wrong way, wondering why my horse hasn’t been thrilled about my mounting….I’ve been grabbing the wrong place!!! This makes so much sense!
Why is the camera man so far away. Bad angle
To much wind can’t hear you .
You want toBay show pad
When you were snapping the strap to the cinch, your horse put his head down and it looked like it was choking him a bit. Thank you for your videos. I just happened to notice that. Maybe I'm wrong. If so, I meant no disrespect. ❤
Super useful and straight to the point! Thank you for the vid ^^

Can you offer suggestions to my stubborn mare? She lunges beautifully but did this about three times and now is refusing while acting confused. BUT, I think she thinks she is fooling me like a five dollar fiddle! It is a refusal. However; sound, chasing the rear end, and my whip means nothing to her. She is now refusing to even go out on the circle. I do not want to scare her and certainly do not want to tap her bottom to get her moving. How can I break her out of this funk?
Sweet i love your guys saddle pads
Sheriff Callie will be able to do that with her pony Sweetie Belle so what do you expect? I don’t know nothing OK let’s do it so that’s cute. I know.she will have to drive the horse towards the exercise ball
whoa girl that is the biggest exercise ball I’ve ever seen how are you going to ride that big exercise ball with a horse that’s bigger than your exercise ball
This was so incredibly helpful! I think you solved so many of my questions and problems with this one short video.
Are you using your thigh, knee, or just heel?
we did not see the other side and how you have the other latigo tied
Hello. Could you please help me here? I have a bunch of latigos, random leathers, and mismatched saddles. I was trying to conch on a western I got my daughter and had a terrible time fin=ding the right cinch as they were either too long or too short. So, how can I properly use your standard latigoes (new leather not worn and easy to work with) onto my western cinch?
It’s very difficult to find videos where people work on lunging pushy horses and this has been a godsend to find! I took over an extremely pushy 18year old green horse and training him has been a pain in the !!!. Will definitely be using what you did in this video, thank you so much for the insight!!!
Easier said than done 😭 i'm so afraid that the horse will go crazy that I tense so much and squeeze my thighs
Nice work.
Thx!!
Thank you informative video
Does the one with the ears have the strap on top
I really appreciate his comment on rewarding a kid for doing their horse’s mane themselves.
Took several lessons from Richard when he was in Ojai. He's an excellent horse/people trainer and a great man. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much. Respect.
Simple . I like the back up first. Makes sense
Well this seems less hard than dressage trotting where I have to bring the hips forward according to the horses stride 😭😭
How big should your pad be? I have a fairly wide 14.2h QH?
This helped so much! I didn’t want to embarrass myself when I first went riding with my sister and brother in law and watching this video definitely helped a ton.
GEEZES.. that's NOT how a bosal is positioned.. you don't know ??. I hope people realize you don't know what youre doing, since yiu don't know how a hackamore and the bosal work. So freaking ridiculous!
✌️👍
Thank ❤you!!! I could never sit a trot and it frustrated me and no one ever told me how
Great videos. Very good to teach tge grandkids with.
Is that scarring on his coat??
