Intramedullary K-wire fixation is mainly used in subcapital fractures of the metacarpals, especially the fifth metacarpal (“Boxer’s fracture”). With this technique, impairment of tendon gliding over a distally placed implant on the bone is avoided.

28 year-old male patient suffered from a motobike accident, had a femur shaft fracture and Galeazzi fracture at the right hand side. Open reduction and internal fixation of the radius using lag screw and locking plate was performed 3 days after his accident. Distal radioulnar joint was also reduced after the operation and was immobilized by a long arm splint with fully supinated wrist for 3 weeks.

I'm type 1 diabetic 46 years old 15 years have neuropathy. I broken my tibia bone 4 screws and rod in my leg now. my question diabetic people's fracture healing? also neuropathy can made problem for healing process?

Respected sir, I have one query regarding tibia fracture. I have undergone into communitted Tibia fracture. Once the fracture is completely healed, Will healed leg can have same strength like earlier(before broken)?? After 1 year of surgery, can I go long run like 10k marathon?

No, Its a cadaver actually. In some countries it is legal to donate your body after death (if it meets certain requirements) to the local medicine school for students to practice. This is not a joke-
