i live in willenhall and il tell your right now its not that bad...as long as your actually from here lol. people generally know each other and the community is quite tight dont judge a book by its cover, its quite chill mostly and the crime era was of the early 2000s

Hillfields has always been a deprived area I grew up and moved out to be fair I didn’t know we we’re poor but people had good standards I lock the car door driving through it’s a dangerous area such a shame

I used to live In valley Road blakenall we moved out of valley road in 2020 it was bad back then but it much worser now when I lived in the street people were setting fire to caravans stabbings, car accidents had black ice chuck at my head by a group of kids in the street because I went to the corner shop to get some milk our next door neighbour who still lives in valley road said it horrible and she wants to move out and she told us that nobody allowed to leave their house after 6pm because that when it worse

Lived on or just off narborough road for 4 years and loved it, crime only finds you if you find it. Drugs were an issue in the local area but you wouldn’t get much contact unless you were trying to buy or sell. Late nights were fine walking home. We had a run of crimes of taking students to cash points and emptying the accounts but that was the most major. No worse than any other city. The food and culture is amazing and worth a visit

I suspect the Swindon house prices are to do with being an hour from London. I feel for the locals, they don't even have the mitigating factor of being by the sea.

I live in Foxwood and what you've shown in this video isn't Foxwood. I work in the MOJ and court and it is incredibly quiet. There are some kids about but nothing that serious. I've lived in Dewsbury and this is ridiculous and reactionary.

I actually own a small part of the litter strewn ground you show in your documentary. Every effort I make to clean it up (to date:) is carefully undone by people who can't clearly communicate in my language. (as soon as I leave) who are without exception, my neighbours" If they can't even speak to me, and have made it clear that they see my activities (and presumably me) as unwanted, is it me who's the racist? The police are unintersted in co-operating with me in amy meaningful way, the council appear overwhelmed, and that "multiculturalism" just means that I am surrounded by several enclaves of semi-protected people whilst I have no rights or support in my effort to clean up my bit, whatsoever. Finally after three years of me absorbing aggravation and interference (and endless fly tipping) a person spoke to me the other day coherenlty and sensibly, but only to ask me to cut down a tree and suggest that I sell my bit of ground and move on. (he wasn;t making an offer, just wants me gone) I was born here, but this isn't my country anymore, if it ever was. My early life traiinng turned out to be completeley unsuited to the way the country has "progressed" during my life. This isn't how it could be, at one point Britain, (and England in particular) "raised the world up" by developing the industrial revolution, ad wrkabel laws etc.. We showed other people how to live! People looked to us for leadership. Some still do, even after the massive decline I've witnessed in "English culture". In practice, the lack of "Englishness" around me genrally, these days, just means that I can't leave ANY TOOLS on my ground, without first being able to build a secure building(!). I need to be delievered and collected with my tools, so as not to expose the car to the area any longer then we have to, so it's really difficult to do anything constructive, and have it stay done, so as I can move forwards..I guess anyone else who has aspirations to make inprovents in these areas, faces the same problems. even if I collect and sort the litter though, there are still charges and obstacles to getting it processes by the local waste facilities, which I always thought was a BIG PART of why we pay our taxes, to have litter and sewage processed in central locations rather than ad-hoc as our council seems to prefer. Something needs to be done!!

A lot of this is tosh. Bemmy, not as bad as portrayed. What about Easton, St Paul's, knowle west, hartcliffe , southmead? These are more your classic infamous places with history to boot. The above are dangerous at times. But not that scary. BTW I grew up here.

i lived in gloucester all my life longlevens. barton and robinswood 4 mins into the video you show a property 120 millbrook street. i actually lived in that house for 5 years lol..left my key in the door one night and someone burgled my house so that sais alot. its abandoned now. the guy who owned it died. totally agree. that area is a shit hole. the worst place to live in gloucester imo. the house wasnt bad on the inside but the area is messy loud and rifiled with crime

I was born in Wokingham and bought up in Reading (used to be 42 miles from Reading to Swindon) Anyway I digress! We moved from Reading to Swindon in 1961 due to my dad's job in the tyre trade, we lived at the Cricklade road end of Beatrice st (86) back then Swindon was becoming quite a dynamic go ahead place, the Railway works was still thriving and many companies were moving their HQs there from other parts of the country and they had just started remodeling the town centre!, we only lived there for 4 years before we got moved to Portsmouth to open another branch but I really enjoyed it although dad didn't like it much for some reason, it's really sad to see it's apparently gone down the tubes??, I've been watching lots of vids on Reading (we went back to live there in 67 and stayed there until emigrating to Australia in 81) Reading looks really dynamic and vibrant in contrast to Swindon nowadays, I was expecting Swindon to be the same, what happened! Yeah loved all 3 places we lived in UK, Reading Swindon and Portsmouth great times! I now live in a little town in North Queensland Australia which I love and I'd never come back to live in UK but it's so interesting to see these places as they are now and indeed were when I lived there, Cheers to Swindon hope things get better, was a great town many wonderful memories ❤🇳🇿

Hessle road "Tower blocks" giving the impression there are lots of them, as I recall there are 2 close to the town centre end of the road and 2 more a few miles away at the other end of the road. Not a exactly a concrete jungle! Not saying you are wrong about it being a "rough "area but you need to watch the context of what you say.

the North is called wednesbury. I lived there with I was 15, left when I was 21. Went to University in the SE. Had to leave the midlands because there was no work for a budding software developer. Graduated, thought of coming back, decided not to. My older brother stayed and rents doing a min wage job with 3 kids. I remember going back home during breaks from Uni, would end up heating debates with my parents who never wanted house prices to come down to allow the youg folk to buy. My parents were massivly deluded back then. Anyway I still visit, but opnly for the day. I made the big mistake of staying over night in walsall, went to the local bars I used to go to - varisty, yateses, sofa sofa (used to be called the black swan) - all shut. As it got darker, it just felt bad and unsafe. Last debate I had with my parents that want me to move back up there, why would I sell my house in the SE to move back up to that?
