How do you have perf cut controls in you queue properties? I have a perf cut file loaded in queue A but I dont have access to the setting you do.

Hey man. Wondering why Roland decided to drop the output resolution compared to their older generation printers? Competitors also come in with higher resolution 1440 output. I’m just curious if there is an actual technical reason for this. When you see max 1200dpi and you’ve had a past machine that did max 1440 you immediately think well I must be taking a hit in resolution quality. Is that the case?

i'm trying this now. i put it back in and hit print in cut only mode and it errors out. It seems like a step is missing as it doesn't search for the crop marks.

Ha. They don't use the CDs anymore. And their QR code, to website, to PDF, to website again, follows in a continuous loop to nowhere. I was unable to do anything until I asked the chat bot to give me the printer driver for my model, then asked it to give me the installation software for versa works. Before using versa works how ever you will also need to download the Roland connection software. That you can find in their PDF. After installing the driver, then the connection software, and find your printer, it will show you a firmware update you can install. Make sure you install the driver before plugging in your USB.

How do I run multiple runs on roll? I have an art file and gloss file, when I select both and hit print they print one after the. If I hit return to origin on art file and send multiple runs it print art on top of itself and gloss on top of that. Any suggestions?

I've ve never seen this setup anywhere, and now that I own a VSi machine myself, I've been doing some homework and realize it's a thing! I assume you need the multi pin cable to do this? Do the TU-2 units come with that cable?

For Roland BN-20 users I offer a service with a fee. You send me the png/svg and I will create cut lines for you and convert the image from png/svg to PDF (with cut lines) so that it is ready to be used in Versa works. I will do the hard part and do the file prep for you and send you the finished product, this is so that you may start making vinyl cut/print art of your own and save yourself some time.

Take my word,d folks, think twice about doing business with Roland. Their customer service is HORRIBLE! I have spent nearly $8,000 on two pieces of equipment and have had nothing but problems. I bought the equipment for my sign shop and it has been broken more than it has worked! I have the BT-12 and it is basically a paperweight. I am probably going to sue them to recover my costs as they have left me with no other options. Seriously, one of the worst decisions I have ever made in this business was doing business with Roland.

i want to be able to perf cut a laminated signs. 80gf is not enough force to go throught the lam and the vinyl. why doesnt roland allow pressures above 80gf?
