H.O.B. is now gone & a humdrum hotel stands there... i remember watching the 4th of July fireworks from The Comedy Store patio in 2018 & now you only see that big dumb hotel instead of the whole city stretching out... but... that's how it is in a living city! Jim also included this song on his solo album Don't Fight the Feeling a few years later, though at a quite much slower tempo (song length 5:15 compared to 4:02 on the Midnight Oil album). I've always wondered if the Ides still kept it on their repertoaire, which obviously they do.

Ides of March released a new album "Play On" back in 2019. It features special guests like Mark Farner (Grand Funk Railroad), Bo Bice (who sang "Vehicle" on American Idol back in 2005), Cathy Richardson (who is the current lead singer of Jefferson Starship), Paul Shaffer (who loved to have his band play "Vehicle" on the David Letterman Show), etc. There is supposed to be a new Ides of March song on Peterik's upcoming World Stage album.
