    Well done. I like this system. I built one to raise a 25' mast alone - failed! It was a rotating hoist that the bottom 6' of the mast rested in but the problem was that all of the power was low on the mast and it couldn't, even with pullies (or my full 270 lb body weight pushing down on the end of the hoist) lift that long mast (even though it's very light to carry around one-handed if held in the middle). So now rethinking it and then this popped up the next morning. This is the best one I've seen for what I need - you have the gin pole (if that's the right term) pulling on a point much higher up on the mast). So going to steal your idea. Any chance you have any more detailed pics? (Such as how you have the gin pole attached to the deck and how it is supported?) Thanks!

      So…here’s an update…I’m more of a video watcher than a poster. I had the exact same idea as this one. Except mine was with a 4x6 beam, with 4x4 (12’) legs. Pretty heavy. I used one 2x6 (10’) with a notch cut out. I also had a 2x6 (10’) that I cut in half. I lifted 1 side and slid the 5 footer underneath the leg. Then did the same to the other one. At this point, I took the remaining 10 foot 2x6 and mounted a handle (I had lying around) towards the bottom. Pushed up and pulled with the handle and it went right up.

      Here's the thing. I'm not a real concrete guy. I can't make a big slab flat. It's like a calm sea after I'm done. And I have tried the broom using not the official broom and it didn't go well. I don't know if I had an official broom if I could do it well, maybe. But it's okay like this. Another thing I can't really do is lay brick and I have a video about that too. I'm a handyman - I can do it all but not the best at any one thing. Incidentally I showed it to a HVAC guy and he said oh we can level it for you. I said it's level that's what all this new concrete is. People are funny. (It's level for the feet of a three foot square unit)

      I seen another video and just tried it on my tub. I used my scope camera and seen lots of the spray foam didn’t mix. I called DuPont for great stuff and they told me it’s not recommended since there’s no where for the off gas to go. They told me it’s not recommended for under the tub. Not enough air flow to mix well. And if the stuff doesn’t mix it continues to off gas and that gas gets trapped. That stuff gives lung cancer. Now I get to learn how to replace a tub. I had a crack in my tub. Next time I’ll just use bondo, paint it and call it a day.

      wow man you are a champion of something - I remember when they used to talk about how great SP was. Well back in the day, I liked DOS. ha ha. I could write batch files to do stuff in DOS. Actually the computer I replaced was 2010 and it wasn't real bad but there was a glitch and I lost 500 gig of data. I made some mistakes. Anyway i figured out time to upgrade. This one has a solid state drive which is cool. I would do ethernet too but it's too far to my router. Also the router covers the whole house in wifi. Even the basement on the other side of the brick chimney. Wouldn't believe it if it wasn't happening. Also how do you get around those "not supported" messages?

    • @user-pr9lw9de8j
      @user-pr9lw9de8j Před 5 měsíci

      if youre talking about the error messages you would get while trying to install a program that no longer supports windows xp, such as a modern web browser or something,, there are third party patches that you can find on the net that allow you to install modern applications that would normally require a newer version of windows to run. by the way, did you know the US military sill uses windows xp? they pay microsoft millions of dollars each year to continue receiving security updates......as for me though, i no longer receive any kind of updates since microsoft stopped supporting xp almost ten years ago. thats okay though, ive still never been hacked! haha

      yeah, my computer is pretty slow on the web as well. its only got two gigabytes of ram. websites just get more and more slowed down over time because they become more and more advanced, forcing you to upgrade to newer faster hardware. i dont like that. i want to use my old pc, theres nothing wrong with it,, its just forced obsolescence. kind of like how my old 2g gsm cellphone is going to no longer work here in about a month, all because t-mobile has decided to shut down their old 2g network just because its old. the cellphone still works perfectly fine,, that is until they shut down the old network making it completely useless, forcing me to buy a new 4g or 5g cellphone.......

    1 suggestion; on safety & on best engg practice: put sm mesh at inlet of this bower; ie. Suction or vacuum end, to avoid any debris to get in fan blades, casing & damaging it. 2nd: run this in duty cycle, these 230VAC 1ph brushed motors are not meant to run in continuous operation. It will heat up & burn.
