They added Chet, who is a much more efficient scorer, and Giddey still hasn't been able to figure out how to get to the line. He takes too many floaters instead of putting his body into guys and forcing refs to blow the whistle. I don't know why his assists and rebounding are down so much though. Maybe the FIBA play this summer was somehow detrimental, or maybe it's just a fluke bad start. He also started his previous two season poorly before figuring things out later in the season, but it is strange for a third year player to regress this much.

M8, we’re the youngest team in the league. Before we saw Wemby in an nba uniform, I would’ve called 25 wins overachieving….these kids were that bad last season. The most important thing to this squad is developing Wemby, Sochan, Vassell, Johnson and even Collins. That’s going to come at the cost of winning games, or at least it should, but yeah Wemby is in fact that ridiculous and makes life for our other guys that much easier….but they’re still the same kids who didn’t know their ass from THE elbow last season. So they’re gonna make mistakes, get the ball and shoot in situations where everyone in the world knows in the same situation next season it’ll be in Wemby’s hands. Pop won’t stunt the growth of the team or ruin his chances at building a better squad by force feeding a 19 year old because some how, some way he alone gives us a chance at the play in.

These are lessons the young Spurs. Need to learn.
