I like that you want to keep most of your things. As long as you're not overwhelmed by the amount of stuff you have, it's perfectly fine to have things you don't always wear every year. I have clothes that I love but get sick of wearing/looking at, and then a season or two later I go through my storage drawer and get excited about them again. I think the difference is how it makes you feel when wearing it. Being uncomfortable vs bored will show when to declutter (or alter) or to put away for a while instead.

i hate to break it to you, but dying the white dress black wont work, white fabric really doesnt take black dye, it just becomes like murkey light green/grey. i suggest trying to dye it maybe a color if you do anything to it. the ghostly white looks super cool tho imo
