Enjoyed the video. I was looking to see the 18 inch vs. 16 inch. I have the 16 inch and it is easy to take around the garden but unsure what the 18 inch would do with the same turns.

My land is very uneven but my reel mower makes it look level, it is cutting the grass all at the same level so it's cheating a bit. I turned to a reel this summer and never looking back. Love my 16 incher Great States but thinking of going larger with lever adjusting. I am just not sure since the 18 inch reel is 24.7 inches wide. Is it too big? Hard to know and don't want to make a purchase mistake.

How safe is the epsom salt re: pets?

here, in southeast, and in much of the easter half of the 48 contiguous US, the soil is already acidic , hampering grass and other vegetation' s use of nitrogen and helpful minerals. Sulfur creates (more) acid, and so REDUCES, NOT ENHANSES greening! your reccomendation to add/apply sulur (though beneficial to rhododendron and holly plants in MODEST amounts ) is very often counter-productive/harmful in eastern half of the US!

Your lawn Bermuda ? Love Y.M. Use it regularly but the heat now in Texas in July is 100 daily with humidity 55% or higher each day. Just don’t want the fungus that goes with humidity and nitrogen.Want to put down Stress Blend but not sure.St.Augustine lawn here.

How much Epson salt did you put in your spreader as well as the other fertilizer?

I have some magnesium Epson salt, but I’m about a week or more behind on fertilizing my lawn with 26-0-2 (and wanted to add ironite too) I’ve had heat spots in my lawn that has turned it grayish color from a neighbor across the street whose windows reflect the sun onto my lawn. I’m in Greenville SC 90° temperature days.

I’m going to try epsom salt. This is the 3 rd time in a week I’ve heard this. Growing up my sister had a horse. My mom would use the manure on all our plants and lawn. It was beautiful. No, I don’t do that now. lol Epsom salt smells so much better. Lol

Shaded lawn always looks better it’s the areas that get hit most the day with sun that’s hard too green up. I used Scott’s healthy lawn and fungus and within 24 hours my hard brown lawn turned green and grew inches within a 24 hour period. I love this stuff..

Do you know what Milorganite actually is? You might want to look that up.

Part of me wonders if excavating the low spot, and then lining it with clay and ash, and then planting flooding-tolerant grasses along the edge, would be a thing of interest for you, or if ponds are forbidden in your district.

The hose around the tree might girdle it. Also check that the tree hasn't grown adventitious roots into that mulch volcano. You need to amplify your voice dramatically in the editing programme; I can't hear anything unless I turn my client up so loud it is deafening when the music comes in.

Thank you for posting this video! I just moved into a new house, I have the aprilaire 2400. The filter that was in the furnace had some weird measurements. Like the measurements had fractions in them. I thought that 16x27x6 was going to be the closest to what the previous owner had. I bought the filter from the link posted (16x28x6) and it fits perfectly. I actually bought the merv 13 version. I did see there is also an upgrade kit to use the 413 filter. I thought this was a waste of money. Spend money to be able to buy more expensive filters? Someone else commented saying the upgrade will allow you to use a merv 13. I bought a merv 13 filter for it... I do not see why there is a reason for the upgrade kit... Correct me if I am wrong.

We are seeding and reseeding with some kind of roll out Ez Straw where a pool once was. Yesterday I pulled up the straw blanket to see where the bare spots were. I re-seeded and tried to just use some pete moss to cover it this time. Right as I was beginning to watch your video a heavy thunderstorm came in and washed away all of my work. I had half of a large bag left so I put it down, and put the straw back after the rain from the storm dried. We'll see what happens. It's definitely a patience game. The straw does help though and if you leave it on for a long time it seems to work better. Just use stakes to tack it down. Your video was definitely helpful.. "don't get discouraged".. That helped us out a lot.

Half of your video is talking about time stamps and subscribing and what you might talk about in the video and obvious things like. “Your lawn might need big control” This bag treats 5k square feet and my yard is half that… so that means I get two treatments out of one bag. Duh

Epson salt is magnesium which the plant uses to take up nutrienrs nothing more.

Will have to take your word for it. Can’t tell a thing from your video.

Mentioned by others - A PUSH MOWER!!! I used one to cut back mid '50s. Thought I was big time when Dad got a gas mower. I'd get $1.25 from one of Mom's friends down the street to - let - me cut her grass. At 75 now, my rider Cub Cadet is just fine with 33-0-0 . Enjoyed your video and info. my 'lawn'/weeds that came with home 1/2 acre is loaded with biting insects. also an ant farm !! ;(. should i mow area short before applying? my neighbor tells me to cut at 3"so bremuda grass will shade out weeds. it looks so awful, i have been cutting it really short for 3 yrs. i need a change badly without costing a fortune. any advise?
