Corfu Variations
On our first holiday together with Linda in Corfu in 1991, a musical idea around the first 5-note theme emerged which, after returning to Brussels, I worked out as piano variations. 30 years later, I've come back to it and re-arranged it to feature the Cor Anglais. It's simply a love letter to Linda - hope you like it.

An excellent version of the song but the information is wrong. It was not written by Murdo MacLeod but by Murdo Maclean who was my wife's grandfather. He did go to Montana but returned to Scotland to marry and settle in the Black Isle.

Nice one ! I suspect you already know that "Puirt a beul" arrangements meant a few of the locals would get together to sing Strathspeys, Reels & Jigs so that the other villagers could have a dance in the absence of travelling musicians to their remote places. From first hand experience, you need a lot of breath control (and Gaelic fluency) to sing them !
