Steel Titans 2 was definitely better than 1. I found a lot more playability in the sequel and still enjoy it to hold me over until Showdown.

Honestly the most fun I have is using melee style weapons like the wheels in mad max or using items hanging behind you in Mario kart. I’d love a game where you have a race car and a buster sword

I really like this games and Ive been yearning for a full auto like game. The average gamer does not like vehicular combat games with a racing aspect to it because they can't handle the frustration of them being blown to pieces a few feet from the finish line 🤣

kinda sighed when I heard the name Milestone after Hotwheels unleashed but maybe il be pleasantly surprised honestly i think I'm going to pirate this game as i don't have high hopes and then if its really good il consider buying it

If your 9 years old yes this can be a good game for a few boring rainy days. But overall. It's another patch on every other monster jam game ever made.

Milestone Is Doing Showdown

Mini Car Racing / Asphalt Duell by eGames 2001 was by far the best vehicular combat game ever. No cringe voice acting, no obnoxious music, just racing with weapons. The game did these 2 things really really well! Does anyone else remember Mini Car Racing?

honestly i quite enjoyed monster truck championship and it was a lot more fun than steel titans imo

floatiness reminds me a little bit about Motorstorm 1 and 2. whats interesting is that when i talked to the dude responsible for the physics and stuff for those two games, he said that it was virtually the same, and that they just changed the camera FOV and angle and such. for anyone whos played MS1 and MS2, they know the first one feels ALOT more floaty compared to the sequel. i guess they could fix it here too by letting people adjust the camera settings?

Dirt 5 is completely soulless. Gravel is rough around the edges, but has character. in spades.

I find weaponized vehicular Combat interesting, because it gives a way for drive-by shooting. I liked playing Gas Guzzlers: Extreme and old Burnin Rubber series for example. To be honest, if I wanted make a weaponized combat, then I'd add handguns as a beginning weapon.

tbh it had the similar or same dilemma as Nfs Mw2012. EA slapped the Most Wanted title on it where the whole game has nothing to do with mw2005 because mw2012 is basically Burnout with licensed vehicles so it should've been callef Burnout Fairhaven

But at least you're better off playing this than Flatout 3 (and Ridge Racer Vita kinda)

Thank you so much for the whole video. This led me to try Full Auto 1 on my modded Xbox 360 a while ago and I've finally completed this game at 100% completion by today. Would try the sequel FA2 Battlelines if I can set up my RPCS3 emulator properly. Funny enough I got introduced to Full Auto series with Battlelines PSP a long time ago.

Honestly, I like the art style that Unbounded wants to bring, I like the destroyed effects and dark city atmosphere of Shatter Bay in this game, but it's a shame that they had to change almost all the characteristics of Ridge Racer's gameplay in Unbounded which I think they shouldn't have had to do. Imagine Unbounded but with gameplay mechanics like Ridge Racer 7, I would be the number one loyal fan of that game lol

Basically the reverse of Crashday. Crashday had a messy progression and strange gameplay mechanics (though it's equal parts enjoyable and frustrating) due to can't decide whether it's a racing, stunt, or combat game Hotshot on the other hand decided to focus on what they can best.

This video feels like a breath of fresh air after what seemed like years of complete gatekeeping by DustinEden, KuruHS and others. Same old "NFS MW/GT4 is the best game to ever exist" got nauseating pretty quickly

just tried this game in VR and was shocked how bad the controls felt. its like controlling a ping pong ball. games are supposed to be fun, not frustrating. big thumbs downs on this one.

I yearn for more twisted metal style, guns aiming where your vehicle aims and combat focused over racing. Guns blazing style combat racing always felt too unfocused for me, and with everyone potentially having a missile or machinegun on you at all times it felt like you were always being punished for taking good positions.

In a racing game, your time and trying to shave it down IS the content.

Here's my take about ridge racer unbounded: I bought the game through steam I played it I didn't finish it let alone completing it. Handling models because racing in this game with this type of handling model feels like a chore the sense of speed is just about as sluggish as a modern games can be and I've seen much more faster modern games in recent dates. And furthermore, no cloud saves. If you went to the play this game again on a different computer, you had to go through that slug fest again. Screw that. Ridge racer unbounded has to be one of the worst entries in the franchise with ridge reserve vita become close to 2nd. never mind number one worst game in ridge racer history because of online drm and little to no content available as well as disappointing amount of content left behind dlc and it is a lot of it nothing mentioned the unnecessary collab with Sega's daytona USA. *tangent start* Just a friendly reminder back in 2005 when band diverged with namco to form Bamco. Because of this, most of the namco legacy properties just got side swiped it by Bandaiis interest in anime games full of mediocrity and and nothing else. Giving us mediocre games based on legendary ip's from namco. Really getting some of the ip's to mobile games. Reducing some of the properties into tank wipe as a merchandise. Introducing their new intellectual property that no westerner would ever dare care about it. Straight up wiping miss pac-man junior pac and baby pac out of existence to make way for pacmom, pacboy and pacsis because of the AtGames bad reputation. GAS or Live Service mechanics in a tekken game? Who the heck wants this? *Tangent over* overall I did not enjoy this game as much as ridge racer 7 and ridge racer ds. End of story.

Just picked up Gravel special edition for £3.69 in the current sony sale. Its a real blast!!!

I played Carmageddon 2 back in the day and hated it. Ramming other cars means slowing down or coming to a halt; why would I enjoy that in racing game? And why would I want to play a racing game where you can lose after coming in first? Then I played Wipeout and loved it except for the weapons. Having weapons means that you can be shot in the back and lose progress whenever the game feels like it. Again, how is that fun? I also tried various kart games and found all of them to be dreadful. Never in my life have I played a "kart" game (actual kart racing games are a different story) where driving was rewarding or gave a good sense of speed, and the weapons just make them even worse. I find them absolutely worthless as anything other than casual party games. I don't consider Burnout a combat game; it is a racing game with a flashy mechanic on top that barely detracts from the races, as you lose very little speed and don't really have to worry about getting destroyed yourself out of nowhere. Wreckfest was popular because of the damage model and the circumstances behind its development, not because slowly backing up into other cars for 5 minutes is engaging gameplay. The pure destruction derby events were a novelty that was there as something to try between racing events, to show off all the ways the cars could come apart.

We simply don't get any arcade racers anymore. Onrush was so much fun, MotorStorm. Nothing like those games out anymore. And don't even get me started on car combat. Nothing on the market is out for the genre. Twisted Metal or Vigilante 8 need a solid reboot.

flatout ultimate carnage and wreckfest are so far the best racing games i ever played they care for the crash physics and they dont make bullshit like most racing games where a crash doesnt leave any mark which its stupid
