Street Triple Tank Trim Carbon Fiber Upgrade!
I've spilled gas on my 2020 Street Triple RS tank too many times and the plastic trim on the tank is badly discolored. So I ordered a set of Carbon fiber trim that is super light and looks beautiful.

I tried to get a key cut at a ACE by my house, and they wouldn't do it because I bought it online.. they told me that they needed to order it before they could cut it.. Seems like you got good friends at ACE..there..

Thank you for this. We have a weird homologation law where there needs to be a front license plate on bikes. The one that comes with the bike is really ugly and messes up the bike's looks. I didn't want to touch anything on mine without being super sure I knew what I was doing.

Was saying I’ve recently acquired a 2022 street triple , and ordered some carbon fiber heel guard and radiator side pieces from aliexpess and was pleasantly surprised in ‘em, Might want to give ‘em a look, price was great as well. You sure this is a 2016 RAM? The blue tooth scanner says "up to 2014" on the JScan app website.

I don’t think so. Sometimes I hear a rattle from the passenger side but I never thought it that. Figured it was something under the seat
@EvolvingMale thanks, I'm going to raise my seat an inch so cutting a inch off tabs and trying to use the plastic pieces as well. ( sub box under seat 2014 )

Dont try this on anything 2015 and up, paid for everything and didn’t work on my jeep. Then tried my dads 2019 ram and it didn’t work either. Oh well worth a shot
That’s funny because I did it here on a 2016 and another video on a ram. You can’t just give up. There’s a whole lotta people on here that got it done. Your one and done doesn’t make it not work. Keep trying.

It amazes me how your wife, who I'm assuming doesn't do media professionally, aims the camera at the subject of the video, which in this case is the bike, and not on you the whole video. I cannot tell you how many "professional" youtube videos I see from manufactures where we hardly ever get to see the thing the video is about, and instead have to look at the presenter the entire time. That infuriates me to no end, and makes me click off the video very quickly. Good on you and your wife for producing a video that is much better than many I see on youtube.
Thank you very much. I appreciate the words and feedback. She's a teacher and an artist, so she's pretty good at thinking stuff through. Most of the time I'm alone and it's harder to line up shots, but this was too hard to do it alone and not "be in the way".
@@EvolvingMale Yeah, I can imagine and wouldn't fault the video if it's being shot by you on a tripod while you're attempting to do your work. In that case, it is what it is, but when it's a manufacture's media department shooting a video that shows me a face for 17 minutes, I just cannot understand it.
@@operator0 yes, I know what you mean. I also hate the manufacturer videos where everything comes apart and goes on with ease. I call it the. "Bob Villa Effect". Where ten people work on it off camera and one guy steps in for the credit. Which is why I usually include mistakes, errors, finger busting and curse words. Better to know it's not actually easy, then wonder why you're so dumb when the video shows it should be easy.
Thanks for the guide, it worked to explain the general steps very well. The JSCAN android app is a bit different than as shown in the video, due to app updates, but the overall flow is still the same. Just follow the instructions in the app, instead of trying to exactly follow the video, because some of the wording has changed (but the menu entries are still all the same). Worked like a charm, I programmed 2 FOBIKs in about 20 minutes with no errors. Thanks again!
Here's what I had to do for the new OBD JScan App software: 1) Follow the CZcams procedure above with existing Key in the Ignition in the Run position for all steps through "RFH - PIN Reading - BETA" and write down your Vehicle specific PIN that is read/displayed. 2) Put existing (original) Key Fob in Off (Lock) position and remove Key Fob. 3) Exit OBD JScan App. 4) Insert New Key Fob in Ignition and leave in Off (Lock) position. 5) Go through same steps as above but no need to Read PIN (skip that step). 6) Select "RFH - Ignition Key Programming - Transponder Programming" and follow procedure indicated by OBD JScan App which will eventually prompt you to enter the PIN you recorded above. Note: Make sure to allow the App the time it states it needs to run through its internal procedures. 8) The OBD JScan App should eventually return "Programming Successful" - at this point, you can exit the App, start the vehicle with the new Key Fob, and check to ensure the Lock/Unlock buttons work properly on the new Key Fob. Note: I programmed 2 new Key Fobs successfully following this procedure then went to ACE Hardware and had one of the new Key Fob Keys "Cut" just in case I ever need it down the road. Thanks eVOLVINGmALE (and zebman9228).

Yes. It won't hurt it if you don't. It took me about a year to finally decide to do it. Slight gains, less popping on deceleration.

Yes.
Just a PSA The stabilizer end links are notorious for clunking noise when riding over bumps in the road. Cheap fix

Perfect! I bought a used Rubicon Hard Rock with three Rotopax systems and no keys. After contacting Rotopax, they said they don't offer their locks in multiple sets keyed alike! I don't know about other overlanders, but I've got enough keys to manage already! I just ordered 3 of these Gorilla Clamps. Looks like a simple solution.
Yes, already too many keys. You could even buy combination locks and set them all the same. No keys at all. A super win.
