I'm about to get married in 3 months. I was never that skilled in mountain biking, but I love getting out to ride. I just don't wanna be injured (or dead) when one of the most important events of my life is this close. Thanks for affirming how we normies feel.

Little Moab is a sick trail for sure. I haven't ridden from the peak but I have ridden from where you entered on your second time down, and you are right there are a million lines in there. I still need to go back and clean it though. That whole place is a surreal experience.

what about using a ND filter? should I change the settings from what you have?

100% have days that I feel off, where I am just not feeling my balance and making abnormal mistakes. I do the same thing and pivot to less challenging trails I ride that day so I can focus on finding some flow and working on more base riding skills and just have fun. Been in a weird spot last few weeks after consecutive hard wrecks leading to injuries that have hampered my summer riding, been just stepping back and working on getting my mojo flowing again.

I was wondering when they'd add a parking lot! Place is too popular to have a tiny 5 car lot

tip for your endos if your trying to move your back wheel around, you need to force your feet in the direction you want the back wheel to go if you want height, you need to compress your fork more to get more lift

Osmo Action 5 Pro coming soon....Ive been playing with the settings a lot....where I live its pretty sunny every day...I use ND filters....resolution I use 4K/4:3 either 30 or 60 fps. Someone said you should shoot in 4:3 mode because in post you can change it 16:9 besides 4:3 is full frame mode. Gives you more options to play. White balance in manual mode 5500k. Exposure 1/200 100-400. EV -3. D-log 10M bit. FOV wide. So far that has worked for me. What I don't like is the DJI lightcut/mimo app. I never get high quality from the camera to my phone. Even my phone when filming makes better quality if I want to post to instagram stories. Now I haven't really uploaded any footage to youtube yet. But sometimes the apps make me regret buying the Osmo 4. I will try the GoPro and 360 to see....but perhaps the Action 5 will be even better. What helmet mount do you use on your full face? That is another thing I am playing with. I have open helmets and just not satisfied with the angle. It makes it look like I am floating in the air. With my full face I use a strap for now and the footage is much better. But its quite hot where I live and full face is not always necessary.

ET is so fun, but it ends in a really weird spot and it's hard to tie into other lines without making a big day out of it. I can do Side Hustle and go back up for Predator in the same amount of miles/elevation as doing ET and climbing out of there.

Me and my group's go to run is East Tigert Summit, OTG, NOTG, EBAD or Atlas if we're running short on time

Its really fun to hit the double at 8:10 and then gap from the lip at 8:12 to the transfer on the right

That is a fun lap. One of my favorites. I don't always do Close Encounters and sometimes do full ETS instead, only because CE is over so fast. 100% prefer ET over Super T as ST is solid, but I enjoy myself more overall on ET. If I am craving some more tech after, I just ride up and hit NOTG/Atlas on my way out (my favorite trails at Tiger).

Dude ripping! Warp speed on that lower stuff. Funny enough that’s the exact lap I took my buddy from the Midwest on except we rode the techier option to the right towards the bottom. The high pivot eats! I think… Hard to tell what is high pivot and what is 220 mm of travel on the DH rig 😂

I only did Close Encounters to ET for the first time two weeks ago, it's such a great and underrated lap! I was moreso pre-riding Close Encounters though, gonna full send on the next run. The only thing I didn't like about doing this lap, however, is where you get spat out at. The fire road isn't too bad, but I've never been more frustrated when I tried to take Silent Swamp to Joy Ride lol. Better to push the additional 1.6 miles to just Joy Ride proper. NW Timber is actually a pretty underrated trial on the way back. Next time, if I've got a buddy with me, I'm going to try and scope out Megafauna after Joy Ride though, it looks sick. My normal lap here is East Tiger to Off The Grid (OTG) / NOTG to Atlas tbh.

Not including East Tiger Summit to Close Encounters as part of this is a travesty! Love that trail. I would also opt for Super T instead of lower ET to get some more tech in but thats close to a toss up.

I like NOTG best.

Hi, I’ve never ridden Timberline Bike Park but did ride and race DH at Ski Bowl. Yesterday rode Raven’s Ridge DH in Timber, Oregon. I didn’t see any trail rating signs but it seemed far tougher and steeper than the Timberline trails. Are there similar rough and steep DH trails up there or anywhere you could suggest?

I'm new to mountain biking n am wondering where to get into racing I'm south of Seattle.. anyone have some pointers on finding mtb friends n some somewhat entry-level racing in Western wa...

Your ISO setting is far to high, try to set it to 100 to 800 and you will be surprised even in dark areas or when riding from bright sunshine into a shady, dark area. The problem you have with too high iso settings is that the camera will make grainy images and those will negatively effect the stabilisation and your footage will look like blurry or shaky.

I guess a question for us local folks (who ride the region, but have never been to the Tline park) if we manage our expectations that the trail ratings are skewed/the trails are generally very tame, is it still fun/e.g., do you get a good cruisy day of lift assisted biking to perhaps work on some skills, rail a bunch of corners, or are the trails just sandy, flat and overall bad/not fun and that I'm better off going for a pedal somewhere else? Would love your take. Thanks!

Dude i gotta say im loving your content! Im trying to get my videos to look like yours and i wanna ask you for some tips. I copied your dji osmo 3 settings and they work like wonder, but im frustrated when i comes to editing my videos and extracting them afterwards. I use Da Vinci Resolve and i can't get my footage to look the same after editing...It always looks worse after even using the "best" render settings for youtube. I'll be really happy if you can share your secrets with me :D
