I love Black Marlin and the owners. The father, and sometimes his son actually spear dive each night for the fish, super nice family, and the wife could not be nicer.
The son was telling us all about how they spear the fish at night. I had some of their fish and it was fantastic. Definitely one of our favorite places in Saranda. Happy to hear you had a similar experience! Thanks for watching our video.

Be careful when you take a taxi from the airport to Kotor. I was there for 2 weeks ago and the taxi driver wanted 80 euros for 9 kilometers. The city is really beautiful.

Yes. We were there in Tirana last year. We loved it. Went up the mountain also. Went to durress. Vlore.. and berat.. and kruje. Beautiful. The people seem to be a little held back as though they still in the communism.. but the younger ones are very open. They love the tourists.

@@JasonandMelissaTravel yes they were lovely. But U can see that in other places they seem to carry the burden of the communism that they endured. So they seem not over it yet. That is the older generation though. But they were friendly yes. The communism was very heavy on them. So it will be hard for them to totally feel free from it

@@JasonandMelissaTravel we went to the Kommetteti cafe museum in Tirana. It has old artefacts from back in the day. It is so colourful and lots of old things to look at. And it is a cafe also. The young guys in here spoke English too. Which was really nice to speak to them. We enjoyed our time in this place.
I am Dalmatian and I am glad to hear you have enjoyed in Split's restaurants... But foods shown here have a little with the genuine dalmatian cuisine from the past... Dalmatians use much more vegetables and fruits, much more healthier than the dishes shown here...

Lovely video! We would love a month in Split and to eat at some of those restaurants you show. We were there a year ago for five days and had a great time. I think we had Italian ice cream every day at a place between the waterfront and the palace. I love that you guys are spending a month at each location. That was our intent when we began, but we’re a bit older than you guys and are afraid of running out of months before we visit every place we want to see. 😂. By the way, do you know of the Facebook group Gowithless? They’re a group of like minded travelers mostly people doing what you guys and we are doing.

I'm thinking of retiring to Albania, starting with a visit for a year. I get $5,000 a month in Social Security benefits and Veterans disability benefits, direct deposit. I also own a house in Connecticut in the states and make around $9,000 a year in interest on my CDs. How much is the cost to rent a small house with a pool in the surrounding area, close drive of 20-30 minutes? I'm a single guy with a well behaved dog.
I’m almost positive you will find what you are looking for. I would start by contacting a realtor or joining a local facebook group in the area you are looking to move. Croatia is expensive as hell
Visiting Croatia can be done for much less than we spent. However, locals did mention that inflation has hit them pretty hard.

Here is the link. We typically do not share the link unless we highly recommend the accommodation. We liked this stay but didn’t love it. Here is why: the internet went out often and was told it does this when it rains. This made it difficult to work from home. The kitchen was VERY limited on equipment, dishes, and pans. The bed in the bedroom was in a very narrow space and because of this one person needed to crawl across the bed and the other person to enter/exit the bed or both people had to get up. 13:04 Not true at all regarding the lack of roads to the countryside as a means to keep the modernization and pollution out in order to keep their backbreaking lifestyle in check. You have innumerous villages throughout Albania and more so in the southern part that have been abandoned BECAUSE of lack of the road network. If there is no road, people can't invest on their homes and fields, can't introduce machinery, and improve their lives. Instead, many youngsters migrate out of the country for better living conditions and pay.
