The ultimate Cheesy Bake 🫠 ASMR
The secret is to keep the batter runny for super-thin crespelle!
The result is a decadent first course that is perfect for everyday meals with a oomph, a quicker alternative to Sunday special baked dishes like lasagna or cannelloni… or simply for any time you really need a cheese boost! 😁
INGREDIENTS:
• 2 eggs
• 250ml | 8.8fl oz whole milk
• 125g | 4.4oz plain flour
• 30g | 1.07oz unsalted butter
• 200g | 7.1oz champignon mushrooms
• 100g | 3.5oz Fontina cheese [or a strong Emmenthal or Gruyere cheese]
• 250ml | 8.8fl oz besciamella czcams.com/video/Q6FVBVwm6O0/video.html
• 1 clove of garlic
• 50g | 1.75oz parmigiano Reggiano cheese
• Extra virgin olive oil
• Fresh parsley to taste
• Sea salt to taste
STEP by STEP:
1. For the crêpes batter, melt 20g | 0.7oz of unsalted butter and set aside to cool down
2. Whisk the eggs and add milk and salt before incorporating the cool melted butter
3. Sieve the flour into the mix and whisk thoroughly until no lumps are left in the batter, then seal and let it rest in the fridge for 30 minutes
4. For the crêpes filling, slice the champignon mushrooms and sauté them in a pan with extra virgin olive oil, a clove of garlic and sea salt to taste
5. Once cooked and off the heat, remove the garlic clove and add the parsley that you have finely chopped just before
6. Cube the Fontina cheese - a strong Emmenthal or Gruyere cheese will do as well - and set aside
7. Remove the batter from the fridge, melt the remaining butter in the pan and add a ladle of batter at a time, spreading it evenly and thinly in the pan. Let it cook on low heat for 1 minute on each side. Repeat until you have used all the batter
8. Fill the crêpes by spreading two table spoons of besciamella czcams.com/video/Q6FVBVwm6O0/video.html on one side, then cover half of the crêpe with a few sautéed mushrooms and cubes of Fontina cheese and fold over pressing on the rim to seal; then fold in half again and set aside until you have prepared all your crêpes
9. Spread some besciamella at the bottom of your baking tray before laying the crêpes overlapping them slightly, cover with grated parmigiano Reggiano cheese
10. Bake on static mode for 25 minutes at 180°C | 356°F, then turn to grill for another 5 minutes
11. Let it rest for 2 minutes before plating them up… then enjoy! 😋

All we remember is that these days were the best treat! 🥰 INGREDIENTS: • 2 eggs • 250ml | 8.8fl oz whole milk • 125g | 4.4oz plain flour...

Pasta and potatoes, two very affordable ingredients, were paired for the first time in Naples around the XVII century to give birth to ‘pasta e patate’ out of peasants’ need for hearty and comforting one-pot dishes. A 100+ year old cocktail! 🍸 - ASMR
zhlédnutí 807Před 14 dny
Negroni is a cocktail over a century old, as the first one was crafted in 1919 in Florence, Italy. As legend goes, an Italian aristocrat whose go-to tipple was the Americano [sweet vermouth, Campari and soda water] one day desired a stronger drink with more of a kick. He asked the bartender of Caffé Casoni in Florence to replace the soda water with gin, and just like that the Negroni was born! ...

Nonna's do not sift flour. They use proper flour and bake without the need. They also use a different type of cutting fruit. Fake!
Please make a video and show us how to do it! We will be more than happy to see it ❤️ hugs from Italy 🇮🇹🍅

I wonder if you could substitute the flour for almond flour, to make it gluten free?
Dear Maryla, a friend of mine told me she tried it and it came out well with almond flour too!
Lovely.
Thank you 🇮🇹 🍅
Yes, I can certanly handle it, so much that I fint it difficult not to go for the third one.
We’re glad to hear you enjoyed it so much! 😍❤️
Nice recipe! After visiting the expo of history of food and trades in Genoa’s museum, now i always ask myself what would European food be like without the Arabs and their enormous contributions which we totally chose to ignore? Almond is an Arabic word, so is pistachio, sugar, coffee, sorbet , rice, orange, lemon, spinach.. they also brought pasta and the style of baking focaccia, la farinata and pizza since they brought us garbanzo beans and also lentils.
Thank you for your comment! The contributions of different cultures, like the Arabs, have made European food so much richer. We’re happy you liked the recipe and appreciate your thoughts on the history. 🍅🇮🇹
@fjordhellas4077 To be more precise: Civilisations began to farm lentils at about the same time as wheat and barley. They are part of a pattern around the world where people first turned to agriculture, rather than hunting & gathering. Cultivating: In Mesoamerica, maize and beans; in West Africa, sorghum and cowpeas; in East Asia, rice and soybeans. And in the Middle East? Wheat, barley and lentils
And they only stole 2 million Europeans as slaves. Including Cervantes.
Perfection! 🙂👍
We’re happy to hear you found it perfect! 😊👍
The recipe is really good. What is the size of the pan?
It is about 25 cm 😊 thanks for asking
@@italianfoodharmony Thank you for your prompt response. Will try the recipe.
@@italianfoodharmony you need to put that in the video. It will make a difference between the recipe working and not working
It would be cool if you tried the cake at the end. I mean if you took a piece with a fork from it. Thus we would better see the texture. Thanks!
Dear Samantha, thank you for your suggestion! We will certainly do it next time. Keep following us. 😍😍😍
Your video Quality very nice but not Proper SEO

Is baking powder the same as baking yeast powder? In a pie or cake i don't think you'd use actually yeast which I use for bread.
I think it would be if it’s for cake 🤔
It is simple baking powder 😊

Scrumptious 😋 thank you for the written recipe
Adoro Saltimbocca alla Romana. Sadly, all our veal here in Aotearoa/New Zealand seems to be exported. 😢 Have to console myself with chicken but, l miss veal from my time in Italy. I would give almost anything to eat some Vitello tonnato again too. Sigh. Love your presentation and that you leave the cooking sounds in. The choice of music is nice too but, would love it to be a little quieter. Some of us find music very invasive and a little triggering although it helps that you've chosen a nice piece. 😊
Thank you for your comment! We’re glad you enjoyed the presentation and the cooking sounds. We understand that the choice of music can be subjective, and we appreciate your feedback. It’s wonderful to hear about your memories from Italy. We hope you find some veal to enjoy your favorite dishes again soon! Grazie 🇮🇹 🍅
I will be trying this recipe, I love that it's simple and only a few ingredients necessary. The video was beautifully done, very calming for me.
