@@Andriy063 hi no. I elected to buy a spare wing mirror off of eBay and fitted it myself. Would be good to know for future reference though 😜

Also after playing a bit with it it started to work correctly again then today it happened again and moving just a bit

@@wobblesization when motors starts to fail, current through it increase and limiter circuit cuts power off. So mirror stops where it is...

I am still here 😎 jist not so often. Considering how mirror is assembled I think it could be good. Take dissasemble and grease also the low bearings.

@@slocitroman5075 tnx! Sadly, and what a timing, the left mirror stopped rotating since yesterday while we were driving home from holiday. So I need to dive in deeper anyway!

what do you mean with that? Problem is motor itself. Sometimes it fails because of brushes sometimes because of PCB attached to it.

@@slocitroman5075 ...correction to my comment: You mention in the video at 3:59 "remove blak screw....that's the reason for error..." The way it is stated, I got the feeling that the black screw was the problem. So I was like..."why change the whole motor, if only the black screw is the problem?" I didn't realise that when you mention "....that's the reason for error..." you were showing the faulty motor. A slight misunderstanding dear frined. I do undertand now. Thanks.

Io ho una Citroen Saxo che ha tanti anni , ancora in buone condizioni, il problema è lo specchietto laterale con la molla che non funziona più, sembra che nessuno voglia cambiarlo per la difficoltà o perché ci vuole molto tempo, non so.....cosa posso fare?

Hey, there are a lot of "motors" out there when searching for C4 II mirror motor. Could you tell me which one is the right one?

Don't know about 508 but could be similar. Check fuses and connectors first then open mirror and check with volt meter to see if power gets to the motor.

@@slocitroman5075 I mean you can't take the motor apart from the mirror, how did you take it apart that it's all one block

Spring is strong and it only turns one direction. I put the mirror on the ground with a spring part supported and then apply force by my weight while rotate the plastic. I still have spare mirror and can take a video tomorrow so you can see more clear

You can't and should not change the position if you blocked the engine as I showed in video. Nothing can be moved or you can finish with bad timing. If you did not lock engine correctly than that can cause starting issue. Did you lock the engine? Flywheel, camshaft?

@@slocitroman5075 hello friend, I only blocked the upper pulley as the diagram shows me on the autodata, the engine block not because my friend said there was no need, and I put the lower pulley with my tooth up at 12 o'clock. my car is doing well, it doesn't hit the pistons, nothing, just when it's too cold in the morning, it doesn't want to start at the first key! that feeling as if he didn't have enough diesel or electricity ... I don't know if it's the crankshaft sensor

@@roumanianbodybuilder you should lock engine properly. Your engine is for sure out of timing. Yes it still do not hit but it is off. You need first to correct that.

Bought it from a wracked car owner for 20EUR.. Only whole mirror is official spare part (and a 'glass' part itself).

I think it is within similar production year. I bought it from exclusive model while mine is basic and it did fit with no problem.

Have never came across with start stop. I am not a mechanic only work on my own cars 😉. No errors reported by the system? I would start by connecting it to some diagnostic tool if you checked the regular things like fuses.. I had 1.6hdi c5... i would not use start-stop on it.. Turbo is positioned almost at the top of the engine and with every stop it will spin down without oil in the moment you turn off the engine..

BTW I forgot to mention that start-stop needs battery in be in really good condition. Also if you have AC on and it demands cooling it will prevent turning off the engine.. there are also other conditions that I think should be described in user manual...

@@slocitroman5075 i have new battery i think my problem is different. When i stop the traffic lights, eco system stops the engine but it doesn't start again. i don't use this system and i hate it but this car has this system and it has to work if it doesn't work well it's big problem when i want to sell this car :)

@@ramazansen5047 try to force it by turn on AC to some really low temp so it should start cooling and for that it must turn on the engine.

Chris, basically it should be the same with some minor differences. I suggest you look for a video for exact same motor.

@@slocitroman5075 Mmmm... There are bunch of them on aliexpress, the only question is... will it fit and work? Soon™ to find out. Local scrap yards will only sell fully assembled mirror... whit a door... and half the wrecked car... and something else probably. :D

@@Hk7762Tube ​ for my 2013 C5 I could not found any neither on aliexpress nor ebay. I checked service manual and there is also no motor as a spare for me. I was really pissed off as it looks older models did have it but different designed. At the end I bought mirror for 20EUR +5EUR shipping and it worked for me :)

I use torquePro for years and never managed to make TrackRecorder to work with two cameras. Tried a lot of phones and a lot of tablets.. so I bought that carDVR as last try.. www.ebay.com/.../Z70-1080P-12.../124300725017... but sad I found out that It does not work well with TrackRecorder. Thats is my solution: 1. collecting data on my server. 2. i set up a page to generate animation for desired drive: simulate.optimpro.si/ where I can also speed up or slow down animation (stop animation, chose new speed, click speed and simulate again) 3. I use Tscreen recorder app to grab video (working on direct recording) 4. Then I use free Davinci Resolve app to merge all videos (front, back and gauges) with some easy transitions. I leave original sound from carDVR usualy but could easyly be replaced.. That's it 🙂 not as easy as if TrackRecorder would work but still easy enough 🙂 Br. Alex
