Ive been using it topically for 4 years. I did get sides effects when I also started derma stamping. Anxiety, insomnia, Ed, libido issues. They all just kind of crept up so never really put 2 and 2 together till I has a comprehensive blood test and saw that both my free t and total t had gone up weirdly and yet I was having low t symptoms. So tapered down for a while then had a full week off and now back on it at a lower dose of a 2 days off one day off cycle and so far all is well. I think side effects are very common unlike what a lot of the so called studies report. But if you don't panic and you use your intelligence it's very unlikely that the side effects will be permanent and you will find a dose that gives some benefits with negligee side effects. I think that's ultimately what it's about - compromise and balance.p and finding the right dose for you which will likely be much lower than us recommended. Unless you have really high free t levels taking 1mg of fin a day every day and smashing your dht will give you side effects. But even then it very unlikely they'll be terrible. Just not desireable

it was videos like this that stopped me from taking finasteride and thinking that hair massages and hair oil would save my hair. my brother took finasteride and he has a full head of hair whereas due to my naivety, i lost a lot and trying to gain back lost ground and will probably need to have a transplant. While there can be side effects to finasteride they are often over stated and can come from having a preconceived notion that the drug will cause sides effects, leading to worse side effects. As long as you are health, your T will replace the function of DHT. In regard to PFS, I have heard many people say it doesnt actually exist and it is more due to low T rather than it being caused by finasteride but I am not as clued up on PFS.

Im 59, started losing hair 25 yrs ago, taking minoxidil since 40, but still lost hair to the point of needing a hat. I had a spine issue at 55 and started using an inversion table and immediately started seeing hair regrowth. At the same I figured Id get serious about my health and scaled into a hardcore longevity regimen, diet, exercise and supplements. I have had enough regrowth that i no longer need a hat. I no longer shed hair, I still want more regrowth and will incorporate whatever natural methods I can. BTW I do 15 minutes per day on the inversion table. Massage scalp in shower, but now i will add in more massage time out of shower. I put peppermint oil with carrier on scalp at nite when sleeping. I stopped taking Minoxidil all together. He’s right, but he isn’t telling the whole story. He’s hiding things to try and make his product look better. The truth is, you can’t use minoxidil on parts of your hairline that are completely bald, but that doesn’t mean it doesn’t work, if you are showing early to intermediate signs of frontal balding, you should be able to see where the hair is receding, it can save the actively receding parts, (the thinning hair) which could significantly improve how your hairline looks.

@hernstv 0 seconds ago i was a former expat in Singapore. There is a hair clinic that does hairloss treatment. The treatment would last about an hour, 2x a week. At the beginning and end of every treatment, there is a scalp massage that would last about 15 mins.

Compounds with a Dalton weight below 500 can usually penetrate the skin. Spironolactone has a weight of 416. So iit seems reasonable that a topical solution would work. I suppose it depends on the vehicle or solution it is in.
