Always enjoy seeing stuff like this. Brings the human aspect back into it all. My band and I are working our way up and with some shows, not everything goes as planned. It's easy to beat yourself up when you lose a stick or something like that but it helps to remember that it happens to everyone.

You can play drumset without destroying yourself. It’s metallicas role of the toughest guys. Take a look at jazz drummers, they don’t look cool but they know how to play healthy..

I've played with several good guitar players and I can say that they shouldn't count off song's. Some are better than others but, it's the drummers job. BPM is important.

I wasn't at any of the shows without Brian, but a friend of mine was and said yall still killed it without him! You know a band is amazing when they can still perform a kick ass show without their main vocalist with them. I can't wait to see you guys in July at Tinley Park! Haven't seen yall since before Lifelines dropped so I'm excited to hear all the new stuff!

Something I love about Metallica's drums that I really do not hear in other metal songs: it lets me hear the guitar riffs super accurately. Lars does a tremendously good job at ensuring James and Kirk can be heard really well. As a guitar player, that is super cool and likely one of the key points for Metallica being what they are. Plus, it is not like the drum parts are not memorable; they are. The balance between showcasing the drum parts and allowing the other instruments to shine is really good in Metallica.
