I recently found your channels because I'm thinking about locking my hair for the sixth time in my life! And I'm also about to be 22 years sober, and I feel this video so deeply. In the Big Book it says that after doing the work of staying sober, "We have a new relationship with alcohol. It isn’t running our lives any more. Sanity will have returned. We will seldom be interested in liquor, and if tempted, we recoil from it as from a hot flame." Sounds like that's exactly what happened with your experience (minus the part of being tempted to drink, since it was a complete accident). I have definitely been afraid of that happening to me before, as I do spend time with friends and family members who drink and I'm often around alcohol. And I would probably react the same way you did! Anyway, just wanted to offer another word of encouragement. I hope by now you're feeling better about the situation.

Are you going to enclose the lower area? It could be a winter greenhouse for growing cool weather veggies. That would make the floor warmer too. Good Luck, Rick

A tree house studio is so cool! I have 2 goals in the near future, number 1 is to hike the AT with my daughter in 2026 and number 2 is to get my 500 hour yoga(plus as many extra certifications as possible) and open a studio on our 20 acre hobby farm..The studio was going to be pretty basic but now I think I’ll have to come up with something unique and fun😊

"Hippy dippy", RIP George Carlin. He coined that expression on the Smother's Brothers Show around 1966. Its still funny because many of them were so dumb. I saw dozens of old school bus homes broken down in the 1960s and 1970s. they didn't even know to check their oil. Owning your home is your best investment. Pro tip: pay off the mortgage as fast as you can. I was a town engineer for 10 years. That application was written by a lawyer to assure that you have to hire a lawyer. Your business was lucky to survive. In CT, due to the plandemic, many small businesses ended up closing permanently. We lost most of the hair care businesses in our rural area. My haircutter decided to close and retire. I have to give myself crew cuts now to save the $35(hair cuts were $15 at the start of 2020). When I built my house, my wife agreed that I could buy any tools as long as they would pay for themselves. That included a cement mixer ($65 on CL), a shovel dozer, a tractor/loader/backhoe, 2 dump trucks, a farm tractor with bucket loader, and a screening plant. We moved in 25 years ago and I still have the toys. Good video. I'm glad that you showed that it is a long tough project. Too many people think that it is quick and simple to build. I saw many couples start building their own houses in the 1980s when we started too. Most of those couples didn't finish and ended up divorced. Good job Luke. I hope that you added diagonal bracing to the stud walls. The hardest part will be the finish carpentry. It can make or break the appearance of the project. Practice with scraps if you're not sure.
