having finally got round to playing it X is a game I both love and hate, it has so much cool ideas and the exploration is the best in the series and it has the best side quests in the series and lastly Sawano is a fucking god and even if the OST doesn't feel like traditional Xenoblade music it some of the best music i've ever heard. but the pacing is awful (for technically having the shortest story in the game it takes the longest to complete and in 70 hours of gameplay you end only around level 50), I personally hate pallet art combat it's just not the Xenoblade combat system I love, I could list my grievances for ever because X has just so many minor baffling design decisions that undermine a game I still love, like why do I have to go back to my base if one of my ai teammates is a dumbass and doesn't get out of their Skell in time. It's fair to criticize 2's dogshit tutorial but at the end of the day at least it had a fucking tutorial, X doesn't teach you shit.
