How we get below our in ground Intex pool
I've had a few questions about maintenance on our Intex pool so this video shows how we built a trapdoor to access the pool along with the pool heater and pump. A trapdoor from the deck takes you below deck with steps leading down. We've since installed some Govee outdoor LED lights around the pool which looks awesome at night.

Putting an Intex pool in the ground
zhlédnutí 215KPřed 3 lety
We decided putting our new Intex 24x12 ft pool on the lawn would ruin the grass so instead we decided to dig a hole and sink it in the ground. Starting in April 2020 and working in the evenings and weekends, we finally got it finished at the beginning of July. Turned out much better than i'd ever have thought. The kids love it and it looks great in the back garden. Thanks to Grandpa and Michael...

It's raised off the ground too just in case we get some water in the hole. Put the cover in and reopen it in late spring.

    How much does it cost to run?

    • @mike-ology22
      @mike-ology22 Před rokem

      It depends. We have a 12ft pool and a 9000L sand filter pump with glass media inside. We have put 20kg of pool salt in it and we have a intex salt water generator. For the size of the pool and the pump we use, we run it for 2 hours each night, the same as the salt water generator. Running the pump is 400watts. Running it for 2 and a half hours is 1kilo watt hour. Find out how much you pay per kwh from your energy provider. Then you know how much it costs. The pump and filter cost £160. Intex salt water generator cost £75. Salt cost £20. Now, the pool runs itself with hardly any maintenance.
