if your teamate is behind all the opponent players and the ball ,you are not allowed to pass to him . But if pass and before the ball lands he goes behind the defence then it is not offside. Moreover if you have the ball and you have passed the opponent defence and your teamate is behind you but still behind the opponents you are allowed to pass to him (if he is in front of you you are not allowed). Lastly if you pass to an offside player but he does not touch the ball, it is still offside if you had clear intent to pass to him.
