That seems like it's a price for a Barrel Select bottle. If yours is PX Sherry finished, that's the 4th Edition. I assumed mine was 3rd, because it's not sherry finished and the 4th edition hadn't come out yet. And it seems like the glass stopper is different for each edition.

I guess when I realized it was barrel select I should've realized it was Single Barrel. So I'm assuming the different editions are batched products, and the Single Barrels are separate and apart from the editions. That's just an assumption on my part 🤷‍♂️

@@michaelhite btw those two distilleries that are on my must experience once in a lifetime list are "Russell's" ran wild turkey DSP and Jim beam family distillery! Keep up the good work I love the Jim beam content :) - my heart goes Jim beam for life, but that juice from wild turkey rock my world too ( when i introduced my family to 101 they were gob smacked ! Outstanding and trust me they are dedicated 70+ year old polish vodka drinkers ! )

This does run hot for me and there are certainly better SBBP whiskeys for cheaper. I have seen about a $15-20 swing in prices for this, depending on retailer. Cheers!

Count of Monte Cristo is currently #108 on the list. An algorithm is used to analyze over 300 'Best Books' lists to generate this list, and it does change as the Shane adds lists and updates the algorithm. I haven't actually read it, so can't comment

I was gifted two of her books and will be turning those pages later this year, so I can't really comment on her works. The list was made by Shane, I just used it as my reading schedule last year and in this video was updating on the changes in the list for 2024. Great Expectation was #33 on the list at the time I made this video. I had to go back and check if I had missed it or something!! Not sure if your question is if it was on the list, or you were surprised where it is on the list?

To be clear, I didn't make the list, Shawn did. The link to the list is in the description. Interesting process how he makes it, and it is a living list. So it does change when he updates it. I used the list as my reading schedule in 2023 and was just updating everyone of the changes in early 2024.

Perfect intro into bourbons! Maker's Mark is great for mixing, and I think the JB black label probably got looked at again by guys recently since they age stated it to 7 years.

I'm absolutely not offended if you never watch one of my videos again. As far as I can tell, JD meets all the requirements to be called a bourbon, they choose to call it Tennessee Whiskey.

Jack Daniels is 100% a bourbon. It just happens to also be a "Tennessee whiskey." If you don't know that, your opinion is now valid.

I can't believe it took me so long to break away. Wild Turkey 101 would be a great first bottle!! Into the deep end right away! You should always have the WT101 at your house for old times sake! Drinking multiple whiskeys, like in a flight, really highlights differences.

@@michaelhite Thanks for your reply! I love the Sun Also Rises, too, after rereading, in fact, everything I read of his works has its own place in my heart. Hemingway has this incredible power to make me empathize with the characters he creates, and Brontë has in a way similar power for me. I couldn’t hate Heathcliff even when he turned out to be a horrible grown up. Just like Hareton couldn’t really hate him, I kept rooting for him believing he could be better deep down in his heart. Thanks again for giving me this opportunity to think about the books!
