In soviet union health care was free , doctor's salary was the same, as salary of an engineer - a bit higher, than salary of truck drivers. For that reason doctors helped as little as possible. In the USA is opposite situation - doctors suggest hundreds unnessesary tests, procedures and surgeries, as it makes them rich. I do not know, if there exist any perfect health system in the world.

Whoever is reading this, know Jesus loves you. He died so we may live. He lived a perfect life that we could not. We deserve eternal death, but because of His grace and forgiveness we can experience eternal life with Him. This is the truth. Humble yourself and accept God’s forgiveness. His love will make you whole. It will change your life forever.

My Mom is on dialysis. She has lupus, rheumatoid arthritis, diabetes, scleroderma, Sjögren’s syndrome, she’s blind and she can’t walk anymore due to a stroke. She’s had issues with being non compliant with her dialysis due to depression, her lupus and arthritis causing her so much pain that she couldn’t get out of bed, and we live in the US where it rains and snows quite often in the winter and temperatures can be as low as several degrees below 0°F. She is currently in the hospital and the new kidney doctor she got suggested PD so she can have dialysis at home. She had surgery today to install her new dialysis port and since I’m her 24/7 caregiver, I’ll be learning how to administer her PD. All of these health issues have happened within the last 6 years. So as her daughter, I’m also learning how to live with these diseases, since I have seen them destroy her body in such a short time. I’ve had to grieve someone who is still alive. I grieved for the life I wanted her to have and the person I knew she could be. Now since she lost her eyesight 3 months ago due to having strokes in her eyes, she and I are navigating through learning how to be blind and how to care for a blind person together. No matter where this journey takes us, we will always be together and I will always take care of her. This isn’t just her journey. It’s ours.
