I remember being traumatized by the red mist episode. As a kid, I too had unauthorized access to the internet, just like you. I don't blame my parents for that, after all, in the early 2000s, the internet was still kinda new and I don't think there were many child protection measures for parents. Anyways, I watched lots of traumatizing stuff, such as Jeff the K*ller, Sonic.exe and R*cist Mario. Looking back at it, these things aren't that scary anymore, but as a kid, I was scared to death about these things. One of the worst creepypastas I watched was Red Mist. It was horrible and kept me up at night. I still get a uncomfortable feeling from it.

I was curious these days of searching it on CZcams, and I strangely found many videos correlated to SpongeBob, including a video with the happy Mr krabs scene...

This could be why I'd rather be deceived instead of having to bear the weight of how truly dangerous our own kind is. I want to be lied to with a false reality. AI already exists in the world and so does the ability to spread false information, lies, & propaganda, so the majority of us have already been deceived from the start anyway.
