It looks a lot like rf welder interference

I'm a long time HPSDR/PowerSDR user and have been seeing great reports on the Hermes Lite 2 radio. Do you know if the Hermes Lite 2 can be locked to an external frequency reference? My HPSDR is locked to a GPSDO.

The Network throttling mod ist not the only one you should do. WIN needs a litte more optimization especially if you use UDP with the windows network stack. The problems with the different sampling rates at the audio interfaces can be solved - use Voicemeeter, dock Thetis at Voicemeeter and connect the real devices to Voicemeeter. Works great without any issues. The other positive effect, Voicemeeter has 2 Audio-buses, so you can control e.g. the Mic at Bus A and maybe FT8 software at bus B. So you have a much better control for routing different audio sources and/or audio playback devices and you don't need virtual cable for using digimode applications. 73 Heiko, DL1BZ

I must say that is most unbelievable Contact QRP , which I have done QRPP from stations close states to me , Pa, Mi and Ohio which I am in .My antennas were wire types ,and still do QRPP .Well Done tho to you. I loaded this Sunday morning. I was under the mistaken idea that you need to record your own personal shack's noise to use with the software. This got me screwed up. Yes I think they want you to record samples to send them. (A little harder than you may think) But, I started using it immediately. I need to figure how to cable up my system so I can use my heil Pro 7 headphones but that shouldn't be a big deal. I did use it though & listened through my computer monitor. I tell you, it works better than anything I've used so far. I believe in time it will be able to pull weak signals out of the mud like a miracle. I had a signal from Reunion Island that I've been able to work a few times. It was so weak I simply couldn't work it. When I used RM noise it was so very close to making his voice readable. But the noise, it gets rid of the noise. Wow! I don't know about Thetis or Hermes lite though.

when i change transmit profiles my drive slider doesnt change like yours.. when i check the box "Highlight TX profile Save Items" the Drive slider is NOT highlighted

Why aren't the big guys, yaesu, elecraft, flex, anan, etc., implementing this into their radios? Or offering patches? I would pay good money for this. For a year now I have had a nightmare of powerline noise. It is extremely difficult to get the power company to fix this problem even when you can literally pin point where the arc is in their equipment. I have spent a massive amount of time & money just so that I can sniff out and prove to the power company where the noise is coming from. It gets as bad as 20 over S9.

You said the word that scares many from using SDR radios...."extensive menus".... but once done and profile(s) created, it is like set it and forget it. From time to time needs to reset database then import back profile is a breeze. A powerful PC is mandatory as the software (Thetis) is doing the heavy lifting. A vast knowledge of Windows is also necessary as one has to accommodate it to make Thetis work. I have seen many purchasing SDR to later go back to using analog ones....It is understandable. Can this amplifier be driven with less then 5 watts ? Lets say 3.5 watts ?

Sadly The Program Doesnt Work For Me Becausei have windows 7 and i canta fford new computer for windows 11 or even 10 :( Im disabled and poor and radio is the only thing that brings joy to my life and thats ripped away from me because my computer was fine few months ago, but all of a sudden it cant get anything done, no programs, no nothing :( Thanks microsoft :( i spent ta loot ofmoney into this pc and i bought it like 3 years ago, i saved up money to buy this comnputer and turned out i was scammed with the computer, it was older then the seller said, the cpu is 12 core, no, its 6 core, but the seller told me its 12 core, i believed him because i did not know what threads are so when he opened the task manager i saw 12 cpus and thought it got 12 cpus. sweett, because he asked a huge money for it and i thought that im getting a futureproof computer, turns out im not, not a good deal, after i started toa sk him questions about the cpu hge blocked me on social media and my number, so i spent all my money on this computer that I thought will be working for years to come, but no, because its aa server type of a coputer it doesnta llow me to get ANY Drives for windows 10 so there is notthing i can do, i dont know how to make drives for everything, i bought my graphics card for 720 Euros :(

Showing the Network Throttling tweek, for other software platforms is great info. Thetis for the HL2 already has that feature and enabled built-in in the Setup screen

Kurt, how about a video on the installation of Thetis for Hermes Lite 2? I have one of these rigs on the way and am unsure if Thetis (HL2) is a stand-alone program or do I need regular (non-HL2) version of Thetis also on the PC? If both need to be installed, does one need to "point" to the other somehow?
